Ken-san did an amazing job organizing an extremely customized trip. I met wonderful people, and forged a pan I plan to use every day. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone interested in meeting real Japanese folks off the beaten path and making an item they will be proud of

It was a really privilege to able to join such a unique event. With the help of a 5th generation blacksmith who specializes in hoes and farm tools, I had the chance to create my own frying pan. Furthermore, it gave me an insight to Tsubame-Sanjo’s renowned metalwork industry and the whole process has given a new found respect for their field of profession. I was blown away by the precision and attention to detail. It really is an art form that requires a lot of skill and practice.
I feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction using my frying pan in the morning:) I would totally recommend this tour to anyone, even if you don’t have much of an interest in kitchenware.

I really enjoy crafting and making things with my own hands. This experience gave me the chance to craft my very own high-quality frying pan with the help of a professional.
This frying pan has become a precious item in my kitchen by now! Knowing the effort behind handcrafting such utensils after having participated in the experience makes me appreciate it even more.

In July, I participated in their trial tour.
The starting point of the journey, the old warehouse, had a nostalgic feel with its sense of the local industry's history.
I participated in making a frying pan, and it was an unforgettable experience to be able to create my favorite frying pan from a single piece of metal.
The craftsmen kindly and carefully guided us, and the English-speaking guide was also wonderfully attentive.
Through the bicycle trip, we were able to interact with the local people and visit places that only locals know about, making it a very memorable trip.
