got there and was told UK License was no good, on of the group had international licence, no one was interested to help. Trip advisor will not refund

Kart experience was a highlight of my trip to Tokyo! Awesome route, karts, staff and overall arrangements! Dressed in a Pokemon costume and driving in the centre of Tokyo, you feel yourself like a celebrity with people waiving, smiling and taking photos! Definitely coming back again and highly recommend to everyone!

Had an awesome time driving through the streets of Tokyo. Travis, our guide, was funny and showed us the sights (blink and you'll miss Godzilla!) Really recommend doing it at night to get the full experience

Amazing experience! Staff were great & it was crazy fun. Something me and my friends would definitely do again.
I had forgotten my headphones there & contacted them to see if they’d seen them and they had seen them and held them for me until I had time to pick them up which was amazing. Great people and very honourable.

We had the best time driving around Tokyo, Some great stretches to be able to speed up. Went further than we had imagined Plenty of time at lights to take photos & look around. Lots of pedestrians waving & photographing us. If you have your international licence it was easy process. Cold in winter so definitely recommend gloves. A great & unique way to enjoy Tokyo.

My friend and I truly had a great time driving the go karts. We chose not to wear the costumes because they looked a little dirty, but that didn’t take away from all the fun we had. I recommend this activity simply because it’s such a cool way to get around Shinjuku! The go karts go fast so you’re able to keep up with traffic. The lead driver took lots of pics of us during the drive at various stop lights and sent them to us once the drive was over, which I really liked!
The only caveat I had was that when I got there they tried to charge an extra 1,000 yen for what they called “insurance”, however they told me that if we followed them on Instagram or Facebook they’d waive the fee. Well I don’t have Instagram nor Facebook so I basically had to show them my TripAdvisor ticket and say that there was nothing mentioned about this “insurance fee” and that I wouldn’t be paying anything extra. They let me ride after I said that. I think it’s a shady way to get followers and it needlessly punishes those that aren’t on social media. So that put a very slight negative spin on the the whole experience; that’s why they got 4/5 from me. Otherwise we had a great time, and I recommend doing it!

The replies to your few points related to your review :
Very first we provide insurance as an option, we don’t force anyone to follow us on instagram and Facebook. We also tell them if they don’t have social media they can leave us a review on google or third party website. If you are confident on your driving you can skip the option of insurance. Costumes we wash regularly but few darks spots don’t come out even though you wash it couple of times. So I hope you understand. Thank you once again.

Great must do experience when in Tokyo. The only way
to see the sites with your personal guide. Very safe, great photo opportunities, street crowd involvement.

This experience is a must do when in Tokyo!
Great way to cover some of the city from a different perspective.
The guys at Monkey Kart are fantastic from the moment you arrive.
The karts are well maintained and easy to operate.
Excellent operational instructions given at the beginning of the tour by Adam.
Easy to understand English speaking guides who are so patient with all drivers, helping them along the way.
Our guide was Jero_Kun - he was awesome!
