Maekawa sensei was very nice and informative! He answered every single one of my questions and helped me create a plan for the best course of action going forward for my manga career. I would definitely recommend going if you like or are interested in manga in anyway because you will have a good time like I did!!

I created a four-frame manga with my family.
It was a very valuable experience for us to learn how to create my first manga from a professional manga artist.

It was great! Both Maekawa sensei and the translator were incredibly friendly to me. I was an artists prior to the class and I still came out with the money and times worth of tips I never would have thought of. I felt that I was able to connect and build a real relationship with the people in the class. I would definitely recommend.

We were looking forward to this workshop because we are big fans of Ace Attorney of the teacher’s work.
It was very interesting to hear about the work of a pro manga artist.
We also had a valuable experience of drawing a story in a short period of time in the creation of a four-frame comic.
And learned how to draw Chibi characters with ink and other tools.
I definitely want to participate again.

My teens were already a fan of this teacher’s work so this lesson is the event they’ve most been excited about on our trip. And the lesson even exceeded our expectations. Both teacher and translator were knowledgeable, funny, and kind. The teacher answered all questions and provided both interesting personal experience and skills training. I’d definitely recommend!

The class was fun! We are not artists by nature, but the instructor gave us the confidence to try and create great manga! A great activity for a family or group of travelers!

Our experience was amazing due to Mr.Maekawa’s guidance and explanation of the fundamentals of drawing and expressing emotions/stories through art. He is encouraging and adaptive to everyone’s learning style. I will never forget this, as I was waiting for something like this since I was 11 years old! A total dream come true.
