Tour overall: 2/5
This is not really a tour so much as a private driver who speaks good English. Our driver Rashik was a very very nice young man who we very much liked. He was however *not* a licensed cultural/historical tour guide for Japan - he shared the knowledge he had, but it was a bit limited. He also did not accompany us at any of the stops at historical places that required tickets- he waited in the car. As a result, we lacked context we wished we could have had from a licensed guide. If you do this tour, I suggest you do some homework ahead of time and have a strong idea of what you want to see and for how long.
Because of the weather, we did not go to 5th station and we did not see Mount Fuji at all. We also didn't take the cable car at the lake because the line was two hours long. As a result, we arrived back to Tokyo two hours early. Overall this was not a good value, even though we really very much liked Rashik. We wished we had stayed in Tokyo that day instead.
I suggest if you take this tour, you check the weather at the last moment before your can't cancel anymore and cancel it if it isn't very likely that the weather will be good.
In terms of the car, since it was just two of us, Rashik took us in his car instead of a van. A van probably would have been a bit more comfortable, but I appreciate that he was much more comfortable driving his own car.
Overall, we rate Rashik 5/5 for friendliness, English skill, professionalism and good driving. We rate this tour 2/5 not because it was terrible, but because it was too expensive for what it was. And DEFINITELY not worth it if the weather doesn't allow you to see Mount Fuji. Way too much time in the car for way too little reward.

Our tour guide Johny did a fantastic job during our trip to Mount Fuji. He was a fun person to be around and gave us good information regarding the history and culture of Japan. He also took us to see some amazing views of Mt. Fuji! Lastly, before we finished up the tour he gave us awesome recommendations for other activities in Tokyo that we could complete the remainder of our stay. Highly recommend this tour!

We enjoyed the day with Haseeb. Although we could not see Mt Fuji due to the clouds and rain, he had a backup plan to make our day special. He showed us many points of interests and experienced our first onsen. Thank you.

Amazing experience. Johnny made our day better than we would imagined. He was the most kindest, thoughtful, and knowledgeable guide Ive experienced in the world. He took photos for us, treated us to treats, and helped us get reservations at a popular restaurant when even the Kimpton couldn’t make it. He went above and beyond for us. And we will never forget Johnny and our day together. Thanks Johnny!!

Sebastian was an amazing tour guide and incredibly knowledgeable about the entire area and the history of Japan. He catered to us and took us everywhere we wanted to go. He was fun and showed us local traditions and treats we otherwise wouldn’t have known about. Cannot recommend him enough.

Amazing 1 day tour of seeing Mt Fuji, great for photo ops. Very friendly and knowledgeable driver that was organized and made sure we got good photo opportunities of Mt Fuji, highly recommend!

We had a great tour of Mt Fuji with Haris as our guide/driver. He showed us all the different scenic spots where we could have a good view of Mt Fuji. He was also kind enough to buy our kids mochi and food to feed the fish.

Full day private tour from Tokyo around mount Fuji with Shoaib.
The tour was fantastic, he is an excellent driver, knowledgeable guide, accommodating to our requests.

We had a great day with Johnny as our guide. He was an excellent driver, arrived punctually at our hotel, and offered us options as we drove to Mt Fuji for activities. He was also friendly and kind. He recommended an excellent spot for our lunch and helped us settle in and helped us order. Loved the walk up 398 steps to view Mt Fuji, as well as spots around the lake to view the mountain, and villages with interesting traditional houses and shops. It was a day we couldn’t have figured out on our own, so definitely enjoyed having a tour with a knowledgeable guide.

Mukarram was our driver and he had a great itinerary planned for us plus extra stop. Loved the experience and seeing Mt Fuji was amazing. Definitely a must when visiting Japan.

Hi, my husband and I are coming to Japan in April. Is it possible to arrive from Tokyo in the morning and do a Mt Fuji/Owakudani and surrounds tour, then sleep over and do the Snow Monkey Park and Cherry blossoms the next day? Where would be the easiest to spend the night?

Are all 8 stops listed on the itinerary included? Or do we have to pick some of them from the list?

We only had time to visit 5 places on the day. We also liked to take our time to enjoy the places visited so didn’t rush from one place to another. If you want to do all 8 places, you should start early, plan your schedule with driver and be strict with your planned time one place 🙂 Hope this helps!
