This was our second tour with Tom, and just like the previous one we had been on - Palaces, Parliament and Power, this was also a superb experience.
We've been going into London for over 25 years, as we are only a 30-40 minute train journey away from the city, and yet there are places on this tour that I had never visited before, or if I had, then I'd walked past oblivious to what I had seen. With Tom as your guide, you don't miss a thing! You get presented with a wealth of fascinating information and stories from the past, told with such enthusiasm and in a totally engaging and entertaining way.
It's an easy pace starting and finishing near transport links which is incredibly useful and Tom also points out some good pubs on the walk too, which is also rather handy.
All in all, it is a superb way to spend a morning in lovely London. Will definitely be booking to go on Tom's other tours and then will likely do these ones again at some point.

Having lived and worked in London for many years I did not expect to learn so much from each of the walks, but Tom’s knowledge is incredible, and there were interesting facts - from historical events, literary details from Shakespeare and Dickens to recent film locations - around every corner of the walks.
The walks were perfectly paced - nothing too strenuous but covering a sufficiently wide area to ensure there were no gaps in sites of interest, and Tom’s commentary was exceptional throughout.
The greatest compliment I can pay Tom is that having attended his “Burnings, Butchery & Black Death” walk / talk we immediately booked on “Booze, Brothels & The Bard” - and will book on the two remaining walks in the coming months.

What an interesting and unique walking tour of London. While there are plenty of stories of London's past, this tour also is a good way to become familiar with the history of the City of London area. Tom was a terrific guide who has a vast knowledge about the city to share but also conveyed the history with both facts and stories. Very fun time.

Great day out, weather was perfect ....cold and sunny.
Tour was really interesting and easy going, full of information and facts.

This is our fourth walk with Tom; he is amazing. Exceptional knowledge of London's past brings to life its fascinating history. These walks are a must do. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Tom is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable but also with a knack of explaining the history of the neighbourhoods he takes you round in a way thats entertaining and engaging and never boring. He really makes the stories he tells come to life. Highly recommended.

Hi Cecilija! Once lockdown has been lifted we'll be offering these tours again at 11:00 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. If you'd like an evening tour, you can either book a private tour or you can join one of the online virtual tours that take place at 7pm - details for both can be found on my Historic London Tours website (unfortunately TripAdvisor won't allow me to post the link here...)
