Friendly and knowledgable tour!! Book and enjoy it….

Friendly and personable tour guide. Only had 4 of us so lots of opportunity to ask questions. Which were met with great knowledge. Very engaging tour!

Really nice for fans of history, our guide Alfred was very friendly and helpful.
I would just recommend for next time to give also a brief overview about key points in british history, as unfortunately I as a foreign didn´t know much.

The only way to hear the history of York

This was a fantastic way of seeing York on foot. Alfred, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny, professional and inclusive. He ensured that everyone got what they wanted from the tour and showed us corners of York you just can’t see from the top of a bus and commentary that you just won’t get from other tours.

Excellent introduction to the city.

Our guide, Alfred, was very knowledgeable on the history of York. He was also able to relate it to each member of our small group. The tour took in all the highlights of the city from prehistory, the Romans, Anglo Saxons and Vikings. As we walked around the city the story then followed the Normans, Tudors and up until the last century. His friendly and open style was just what we wanted.

Great historical tour of the city!

York exudes so much history and this tour was the perfect way to learn all about it. Alfred was SO informative, not only about the city and all of it's buildings, but all its robust history. It definitely made walking around and our trip more fascinating. There were only six in our group so it was very personal and interactive. 90 minutes well spent and highly recommend!

Best tour I've been on in years!! Book it!

This tour was incredible. I learned so much. Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable about York, but how it fit into a larger view of England. It was truly wonderful.

Enjoyable walking tour
