The best ghost tour in York 10/10

The best ghost tour in York! (We have been on many)
Myself and my partner live in York and mad Alice provides the most brilliant experience of haunted York. She is fantastic, engaging and this tour is great for adults and children alike! We went once and brought the whole family the second time!
Well worth the money and such a fun and educational experience!
10/10 would recommend booking this.
Can be cold (great British weather) so wrap up warm!!

Bloody fantastic!
Such a fantastic tour! Not only was it a history lesson it was made fun by mad Alice! So so glad we booked this tour. 10/10 recommend. Loved that Alice remembered everyone’s names and made the story telling fun and engaging!

Really fun and informative tour! Mad Alice is lovely - how she remembers everyone's names is amazing! I'd advise not to go when it's bloody freezing but was still really good!

An Absolute Scream!

Communication with Mad Alice in advance was great and she reassured us that the tour was accessible in a wheelchair. We were a little apprehensive on arrival as there was quite a big group already waiting. We needn't have worried. Mad Alice was brilliant at remembering people's stories and weaving them into the histories she was recounting. Very entertaining and took time to ensure everybody was included at some point during the tour. I would highly recommend without hesitation; it was a great introduction to York.

Truly the best tour in York. Perfect blend of dark, true history + seeing the key sights on the inner city. Mad Alice is hilarious, brilliant, and so knowledgeable. No gimmicks or jump scares here, the stories and city itself don’t need them to be both bloody and fun. Mad Alice had a wide mix of stops and stories, so you can go again and again and still be surprised. Within the city walls, madness and magic abound. Don’t miss it.

Nothing short of brilliant
Mad Alice was absolutely brilliant, she had the crowd entertained from the first minute right to the end. Her tales of Olde York were not only entertaining but very factual and her humour was definitely laugh out loud funny. Would recommend this 100%

A must for visitors to York who want to know about historic events and people of York inc the most famous Ghosts. B

December 22nd 2022. Mad Alice greeted us ...and had the extraordinary feat if walking round each group, just asking who made the booking for each group, then she could reel off all the names in the group. That is , she had memorised the names of everybody on the tour. That shows the preparation and care taken even before the tour started. The tour was not just a ghost tour , it included full history of famous events of people from York and historic events from the Romans, through to the Vikings. Even the history of some of The Gunpowder plot members inc Guy Fawkes.
Highly recommended. More than worth the cost. Also gave us recommendations for buildings and sites we should visit. So thankyou Alice and crikey how can you remember all our names !

Mad Alice interacted personally with everyone in the group. The stories were animated but I found the tour quite educational aswell. I will definitely do the tour again.

Great tour
Brilliant tour. Great tour guide just miss informed as wasn’t really about ghosts. More of a history walk and talk but still enjoyed it was brilliant. Thank you mad Alice for a lovely evening.
