Mask making & decorating Venice

Absolutely fantastic experience! We took our girls to make and decorate masks and they loved every minute of it . Owners were so friendly and welcoming so girls wanted to go back for another session in the same day :) we will definitely visit again next time we are in Venice and maybe try out beautiful costumes !

On a eu une séance privée très sympathique, l’artiste était avec nous de A à Z, ils nous a donné des précieux conseils. Nous recommandons vivement !

Absolutely amazing!!! We loved it. I came with my two teenager children and it was GREAT!
Nice family creative moments. The staff Panagiota and giacomo are fun to spent time with and teach you stuff!!!! The owners very kind and friendly as well. I highly recommend it for all!!!

Amazing workshop

I wanted a to make a mask and came across Sogna Veneziano Atelier. This place was amazing and very helpful. We had the workshop to ourselves and enjoyed every minute of it! If your are looking to buy a mask on Venice, why not make an authentic one instead! It’s a lot of fun!

Best activity in Venice!

Such an amazing experience, loved every minute of it. Igor was a great teacher and host. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Venice.

Wonderful experience!

This was my second time in Venice but first with kids. The first time I bought a mask as a souvenir but in looking for an activity in thought what better way than to make your own souvenir. Our teacher Giulia showed us a selection of masks to design and paint but she did so much more. She talked to us about the history of the masks which go beyond carnivale. She said she would stop but we were very interested . My oldest daughter had studied Italian and I had studied online. Giulia was more than willing to speak a bit of Italian with us. As she sensed our interest she continued.
She talked to us about what led her to this life as a costumer and what that involves. She talked to us about life in Venice , what's it like to live and work there and school and dealing with canal floods. She helped and made suggestions with the masks but was never pushy. When she had to step away her daughter stepped in. When we were done she took pictures of us on a bridge overlooking the canal. If you're interested in a fun experience making masks you will get that and if you also want nice conversations at the same time definitely check them out. For our family the masks are a nice souvenir but the memory of a pleasant morning talking about life was even better.

Wonderful Workshop and Knowledgable People

My two daughters (13 &15) loved creating masks here. It was a great way to learn about the history of Venice through masks. The shop is at the very end of a small street, so there weren't crowds to deal with.
