A truly excellent experience.
We were a group of 8 people, between us a Spanish couple, the other couples all unknown. Our guide was Salvatore (Salvo), extremely helpful and very passionate. The tour starts from Catania and throughout the journey we were explained the nature of the territory and the differences between the city and the Etna area. Salvatore turned out to be a perfect cicero. The Spanish couple were pleasantly amazed at their ability to skilfully switch from an explanation in Italian to one in Spanish and this immediately denoted their professionalism.
What about Etna? A fascinating giant and definitely to know. We met him through the quad bike. We had never tried it. Try it on Mount Etna is to be done.

To this tourist agency and transfers, recommended our hotel concierge, with them we made 3 excursions and we were very happy , very punctual when coming to get us and the different guides were very friendly and suitable, always well disposed despite the different languages of the tourists , I recommend them without hesitation.

It was very expensive for what they really do; they just pick you up and leave you there. The guide/driver did a good job; it tells you a lot of things and facts during the trip and explains all you need to do if you want to explore more by yourself. If you want to really experience the Etna, you need to pay a lot for the rest. Also, they include a visit to a place just in time for lunch, so you don't have a choice and just buy your food there. Also, they offer all their local products here, so it could be convenient, but don't let you explore other options; I will call this a classic tourist trap. This could be fine if the price would've been cheaper.

We would like to clarify that the tour includes a trek around the extinct Silvestri Craters. The high-altitude option is available for those who prefer not to walk extensively and wish to explore the higher areas.
Unfortunately, the alternative services have fixed prices set by the providers, but these are entirely optional and at your discretion.
Additionally, in the arrival area, you can find several cafés, where you can purchase lunch if you haven’t brought anything with you. The tasting experience is free, and you are not obligated to buy.

Very interesting excursion. The landscape is so unusual and it is amazing how soon plants start to colonize the lava. The weather was sunny and we saw a few of the craters. We also enjoyed the tasting session afterwards and bought a few oils and pistachio products

We had to get picked up first and dropped off last and that used A LOT of our limited time. The tour and tasting was great because the guide did really well. Florence was informative and super friendly. She was personable and made the trip worthwhile. We learned a lot of stuff from her. She drove really well, too. People should have to meet at a central location. I would not recommend this tour because it took so much extra time (3 hours) driving through traffic to pick up people.

We’re sorry to hear that you found the pick-up of other guests to be a negative aspect. Perhaps on that day, it took longer than usual due to traffic conditions

So, although it’s worth going to mt Etna and our guide was very polite and knowledgeable, the description of the tour is misleading. Here is the what you actually get with the 45$:
You get picked up from Catania or Taormina and driven to a parking lot with cafes at a certain altitude of the mountain, not where you would really want to stay. Just hundreds of tourists and cafes etc. The only other thing the tour includes is stopping at one of those tourist trap cafes/souvenir shop where you are offered samples of olive oil, marmalade, honey and liquors but it honestly has a very touristy feel to it and it’s obviously not a farm as advertised. Also the tour includes stopping at a cave where you can walk in for maybe 15-20 minutes where the lava had passed a few years back and then driven home.
So, with the tour you are basically driven up to the parking lot and told that if you want to actually see the craters, you have to pay 78€! extra for cablecar and bus to take you up. At this point I’m guessing everyone just says what we said: since we’re up here, we might as well. But this is false advertising I regret to say and I just felt like a dumb tourist the whole way through.
Etna is beautiful though!!!

The tour you booked includes an easy-level trek around extinct craters located near the tourist area you mentioned. Therefore, it isn’t accurate to say that the high-altitude option is the only way to see craters. In fact, there are other craters to explore without any additional cost—the choice is entirely up to our customers.
Regarding the lava cave, it is a natural formation created by past eruptions. Each cave is unique and evocative in its own way. For those who appreciate nature and volcanoes, we believe it offers a fascinating and memorable experience.
As you noted, the arrival area features several cafés where guests can purchase lunch if needed. The tasting experience is provided as a complimentary option, and there is absolutely no obligation to make a purchase.
