We had such an enjoyable trip. The tour operator asked us if we could swap days and was really clear in its communications about the pick up point. Everything went very smoothly and our driver was lovely. Most of the day was as we hoped it would be. Agrigento was amazing, as expected. However, we didn’t have long enough at the Villa Romana. We didn’t arrive until after 4pm (last entry was supposed to be at 4pm) and the site closed at 5pm. We would have had more time there if we hadn’t had a 45 minute stop at the Turkish Steps, which was added to the itinerary the day before the tour and wasn’t what we had paid/intended to see. We have asked the operator to consider changing the itinerary in future so that others have more time at the Villa. It is such a wonderful place and we had to rush to see it all.

This was a good tour with Sicily Day by Day.The booking process was smooth. Laura in the office was very pro active with responses and information.
This was a small group ( 6 people) and Angelo , our driver cum guide, was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information, ( we were also given printed material) which was useful. He gave us clear instructions about pick ups etc and was a very pleasant and helpful person. We were also given a very nice lunch of our choice at the local cafe which was such a thoughtful touch…
The sights themselves were truly worthy especially The valley of the Temples and would definitely recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed visiting Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana del Casale. It's a long day with lots of driving from Catania and back again, but Antonio was a very safe, professional driver. He gave us some information about both locations (paper handouts) and there are also display boards to read while walking around. The temples were magnificent and Villa Romana del Casale was really impressive, with some of the best-preserved Roman mosaics that I have ever seen.
Myself and some other guests had problems finding the correct exit in Valley of the Temples so I suggest choosing a different meeting point. Once we were reunited with Antonio, we went to a cafe and had sandwiches, icecream, coffee and wine, included in the price of the tour. Reading some of the other reviews, I expected to go to a deli or sit-down restaurant, but perhaps it wasn't possible on the day because we were delayed leaving the archaeological park.
The tour company - Sicily Day by Day - was very professional, responding to questions via email and Whatsapp and making the booking process very smooth. I recommend this company and will use them for future tours in Sicily.

Realmonte with fantastic landscapes. Beautiful beaches. Places of the heart where given the growing notoriety for the rediscovery of the scale of the Turks as an attraction is generating a tourism that struggles, however, to respect, as in many places, the heritage. Not to mention the city of Agrigento that coexists between ancient and modern.

A long day but a very worthwhile trip to see such wonderful Greek and Roman sites, particularly the mosaic floors. The lunch was provided, including wine and water! I would highly recommend this tour.

Piazza Armerica con la villa romana e i mosaici: esperienza da 10 e lode. La valle dei templi è un sito affascinante ma purtoppo chi lo amministra ha commesso un grande errore. File interminabili di persone su un’area vastissima, almeno 3 ore di visita e…. Un solo bagno su distanze kilometriche. Ovviamente brutti odori, sporco ecc. Veramente un peccato rovinare un’esperieza che poteva essere indimenticabile e unica. Per un dettaglio che però assume grande importanza visto che non si può fare a meno dei servizi.

We had a very good day! Most wonderful mosaics you shall ever come across anywhere in your life! Valley of the temples awe-inspiring! I can not fault the company. Pick up at our hotel was right on time as arranged. Travelled alongside 5 other tourists in comfortable minibus. Antonio is a passionate tour guide and very knowledgeable, a truly great personality! Lunch was amazing! No need to buy extra food as more than enough.

We used Sicily Day by Day for airport transportation and the Agrigento / Piazza Armerina tour. Excellent communication by email to get price quotes and make reservations. Clean, comfortable vehicles and good drivers. We would use them again if we return to the area.
