Buy the tickets...worth the cost.

We originally did not have tickets. However, there was a travel agent selling tickets outside. They were around 5euros more than online. We verified who this was before we purchased, by cash. I'm glad we did. Went to the front of the line and enjoyed our time. It truly was something else to actually see the statue of David in person.

Pedí y pagué DOS MESES ANTES entradas con horario 10.30 porque luego iba a Roma, y me mandaron un día antes entradas para otro horario diciendo que no había. Mentira! Las compré para el horario que precisaba directamente en el sitio oficial y mucho más barato. Mi consejo: JAMAS CON VIATOR

This tour is absolutely worth every penny. Not having to wait in any lines alone makes it worth it but the guided tour is so informative I loved every bit of it.

Perfect if you just want to skip the line and get inside the museum within a few minutes. You're put into a separate line (apart from the long, normal one) that gets granted entry every 15 minutes. Well worth it, just be sure to show up a little early.

Don’t buy these
We had trouble finding it and we were 5 minutes late. The tour operator left even though we sent a message. We weren’t able to use our tickets and the $85 we spent on them. They would not come back and bring them to us. They wanted us to walk another 20 minutes to their office to get them and then back again to the museum. There was no need to buy the tickets ahead of time. We bought new tickets again on the spot from another tour operator and were in the door in less than 60 seconds, skipping the whole line. Take your time and arrive when you want and then buy the “skip the line” tickets when you arrive from whatever operator is there. There are plenty.

Was relatively easy to find the contact to retrieve my ticket. Would recommend buying the skip the line ticket as I witnessed the massive line to purchase tickets direct at the door, and also a lot of people leaving after waiting for so long. Seeing Michelangelo’s David was truly spectacular.

Words cannot describe the beauty it must be seen!!!

This is a must see while in Florence! Being able to skip the line and witness first hand and up close the absolute mind blowing grandeur and breathtaking beauty of quite possibly the greatest hand carved statue in the history of humankind is 100% worth every Penny. I still cannot wrap my brain around the genius of Michelangelo’s David or the other stunning pieces of art that were on display at the Accademia. A picture cannot even remotely do Justice to seeing it with my own eyes. It would be like trying to explain the Grand Canyon or the Egyptian pyramids to someone…the only way to truly grasp the beauty is to see it in person.

It was fine. It sucks a bit that we had to pay more through this system to be able to get tickets (as the official site was sold out), but if you read the emails and instructions closely, it was very easy to find the operator and collect the ticket.
I'm not sure if skip the line is really necessary, everyone seemed to have it so the line might have been the same.

If you have the means, the only way to go

We have been to the gallery before, and waited in line. Honestly, if you have the means, this is the way to go. It was very easy to find the guide with the tickets. We lined up for our time and got right in. No waiting longer than 5 minutes. We had our two kids with us. Having been before, we just wanted them to see The David and a few other key pieces (including instrument room). When we had gone previously, we couldn’t even get close to The David, let alone have a pic that wasn’t in a sea of people. This was wayyy less crowded (we went at 915am). We saw what we wanted and were out on our own schedule. Definitely recommend to avoid the crowds and the huge line!!
