Book a Selection Small group tour!
Great tour with Selection tours! Phillip was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. He took time to stop for great photo opportunities and to explain what we were going to see before we got there. Sintra / Pena Palace was amazing. Phillip also got us the best table in the house at the Refugio da Roca, to try the codfish and fried skid on ceramic. Great job Phillip and Selection tours!

My husband and I had a very pleasant day with our host Ana Margarida. Much more than a "guide", she took very good care of us, and at all moments was really concerned in making our day a special one!
She paid special attention to our background and took us to the Palácio de Queluz, which has close relation to our country's history. She kept us away from lines and crowds, told us interesting and funny stories about the spots we visited. She is an awsome driver, and also had an extra patience with me and my difficulty with walking up the way to the Palácio da Pena. Thanks for that! ;)
Her enthusiasm with the places and Portugal's history is very exciting. Thank you for sharing with us a bit of your Country and your stories.
The tour really excelled our expectations!

Los hermosos paisajes portugueses y las construcciones históricas en la vía a Sintra, Cascais y Estoril fueron ejemplarmente descritos por Joao Ferrao, nuestro guía turístico, quien además de ser un abosulto conocedor de la región, nos trató de la forma más cortés y educada. Disfrutamos este día al máximo. Sin objeciones. Completamente recomendado.

A great day trip out of Lisbon with Anna.

Not only was Anna a superb guide, both knowledge and articulate, she was also an excellent driver. Our day was carefully planned to avoid the congested tourist places, while still visiting the most interesting historical sites. Anna made us feel so welcome to her country.

Nous n'étions finalement que notre famille pour cette excursion, ce qui était très agréable et nous avons donc pu choisir ce que nous voulions voir le plus (intérieur du palais de Pena) et à notre rythme. Sofia, notre guide parlait très bien français et était très sympathique. Ses explications étaient claires et très intéressantes, ce qui a rendu cette journée particulièrement agréable. Je la recommande vivement. Merci encore

Excellent tour and wonderful experience

I went on a trip to Portugal withy mother and daughter.we took this tour so that it would be easy for us in terms of touring with a small group as my mother had recent knee surgery and would walk slowly.
The tour guide Rui was amazing and made sure we had the best experience.
I would definitely recommend take small private tours especially at destinations with some historical background.

Fantastic Tour
We had an amazing day with our guide Ana. We were with a lovely french couple and we were from Australia, Ana quickly spoke in French and English this was not a problem as we could take in the beautiful scenery while Ana talked to the French couple and Vice Versa.
Ana has so much knowledge and imparts it with so much enthusiasm that you get caught up in it.
It was a brilliant day and this only occurred due to Ana's love for her country and that she loves what she does.

John was a fantastic guide lots of good advice and information, he knew the spots to go, where to get great photos. If I knew how good this tour was I would definitely have booked up more tours. Unfortunately we ran out of time, so book early.

Yes. When you book your tours, they will ask you for your preferred language. After Portuguese, English is the most prevalent language requested but certainly, we saw that tours in French, German and even Japanese were available. You can specific this upon booking and they will direct you to a guide in the language of your choice.

You could still easily visit Sintra as it is only half an hour from Lisboa. You could probably still travel back to Lisboa via the coast road but not have as much leisure time at each stop.

My husband and I did this tour and it was, indeed, a private tour for just the two of us with the driver. He picked us up from the hotel and drove us directly to Sintra first. Then, we went to Cascais where we had lunch and spent time walking around the town. I know it says Estoril but we just drove through it. Estoril is really just a beach a few miles outside of Lisbon,
