Après environ 40 minutes de route en minibus nous sommes arrivés en forêt où nous attendaient les chiens et les traîneaux. Il y avait 4 traîneaux soit 8 personnes max. L'instructrice a pris le temps de nous expliquer comment utiliser le traîneau en toute sécurité pour nous mais aussi pour les chiens. Son chien Igor participait à la sortie. Elle nous a fourni l’équipement nécessaire pour ne pas avoir froid (combinaison et bottes). La balade était merveilleuse : on a cheminé en forêt puis sur un lac dans un décor magique et dans un calme surprenant !!….
Un instructeur suivait en motoneige à bonne distance pour surveiller, aider si besoin et faire des photos. Nous avons fait des arrêts pour changer de conducteur, reposer un peu les chiens et voir si tout se passait bien.
A mi parcours nous avons déjeuner autour d’un feu de bois une soupe de légumes, des saucisses grillées, du jus de Blue Berry chaud, un thé et des biscuits à la cannelle : tout était top.
Mais avant le déjeuner nous avons félicité et caressé les chiens puis nous les avons nourris selon les instructions des accompagnateurs : le chien de tête puis les autres chacun leur tour.
Lorsque la balade s’est terminée, nous avons enlevé les harnais aux chiens et ils ont mangé avant de regagner leurs enclos et niches pour se reposer!…
Je recommande cette sortie, on est peu nombreux, bien encadré et profitons des décors merveilleux tout au long de la balade. Les chiens sont très gentils et affectueux.
On ne voit pas le temps passé, c’est une expérience inoubliable !….

To be honest, it's my best ride so far, you can see a lot of different landscapes (forests, lakes, etc.).

C'est vrai que le prix est élevé mais cela en vaut vraiment la peine. Tout d'abord le chauffeur est venu nous récupérer à l'heure au point de rendez vous. Après avoir roulé au moins 40 minutes nous sommes arrivés au milieu de la forêt avec pleins de Husky (une partie dans les enclos et l'autre nous attendaient pour la balade. L'instructeur était vraiment très pedagogue il prenait vraiment le temps de nous expliquer comment manœuvrer le traîneau en sécurité. Ils nous ont fourni combinaisons et boots gants... La balade était Toppissime mes enfants en bas âge ont adoré. Nous avons "conduire"avec mon mari chacun notre tour. A chaque check point les instructeurs verifiaient qu on gardait une bonne distance et que nous n'allions pas trop vide. A l'arrivée nous nous sommes réunis dans un tipi très cosy où on a bu du jus de "berries" et des biscuits à la cannelle et tout ça bien au chaud autour d'un feu. Pour finir on a offert de jolies cartes postales avec des huskies. On recommande Bearhill Husky à 200%!

This experience is surely one of the best I have had. We learned how to drive the dog sled and then went for a long trip in the wild nature. Us and 5 dogs. The feeling sometimes was like you were alone in the wild but knowing the Team had people to ensure our safety and make sure we didn’t get lost made it relaxing. It was almost like you had been doing this your whole life. The nature is beautiful and the dogs did very well. We were also educated about how they work with the dogs and take care of them. It is a truly beautiful partnership of man and animal. I recommend this 200% as part of your experience in Lapland. Thank you very much !

Bearhill Husky have found the perfect balance between the initiation of the musher way of life and the well-being of the dogs. The result is simple : an incredible experience. All the details are perfectly checked : transport, food, rules for driving, time of driving itself, time with the dogs at the kennel. Most important, taking care of the dogs is the priority of this organisation, as you can feel it before, during and after the drive. The dogs lead the experience, and not the opposite.
I highly recommand it ! The most amazing day of our travel !

What a great experience we had! The tour included overalls, gloves, shoes, socks and a balaclava (which you get to keep afterwards). Such an amazing team and dogs! You could see they were in their element and really happy as well as the team took super care of the dogs. As soon as all came to a stillstand they were yet again ready to go. We booked the taiga husky tour which included a lunch with sausages, salmon soup, coffee and berry juice. We made round about 44 km. One of the best experiences ever. You could get exhausted since it sometimes went uphill.

After the instructions we went off on our sled pulled by 6 very eager Husky’s. The Taiga is a beautiful sight to withhold and our guide was great, he told us all there is to know about the dogs and their work while preparing us a delicious and hearty meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and are very grateful to our guide and Bearhill Husky Tours for a day which we will remember for a lifetime
