Went on a tour with my mother, and it was excellent. Our guide was Quinn was our guide and he kept it entertaining by using his knowledge of local wildlife. While it’s not promised he made sure we could see as many creatures as possible. As far as the admin task I would send anyone there. They ensure you make it to your destination at every step of the way. If it is a smaller group they can cater the experience to what you want to see. I would recommend this to anyone and I wouldn’t ever worry about sending someone to them. Only thing I would recommend is some sort of cushion along the back because the plastic starts to rub against it but that’s my only complaint.

Ka Rawe Tour with Jakeb!
Love the taxi ride to Bark Bay, then a delicious lunch and hikoi around the lagoon. A superb coffee and tea picnic spot before taking on the beautiful bays in a double kayak.
My partner and I were lucky to have the experience of just us and our guide, along with unlimited history and fun facts about Abel Tasman National Park. The awesomest tour guide, Jakeb, Sealed the ending with a surf into Anchorage Bay.
Highly recommend R&R Kayaks when visiting Abel Tasman. With highly informative and passionate guides you can ask them anything, a spot of Kai and an overall fantastic vibe!

Joined a group to do the Oarsone trip . OMG ! Fantastic day , great peeps and the best guide. Thanks Quentin , you rock. Spent many hours kayaking, sightseeing, laughing , chatting and exploring - had a seal encounter, saw sting rays and fish , learnt so much about the area and the wildlife. A piece of paradise we must preserve! What a day to remember . Great lunch provided , midday swim . Met great people . Absolutely use this company , very personal and accommodating !!! Thank you R&R Kayaks !!!

A great day out along Abel Tasman with R&R. Our guide, Tom, was helpful and knowledgeable throughout. A seamless end to end day with everything provided.

R&R Kayaks were recommended to us, along with the one day Oar-Some Marine Reserve Tour.
The R&R Team are friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive, right up until you say farewell.
We had an amazing day with our guide Lucas and Whitney too. We learned interesting information about all sorts of things - history, flora, fauna, sea life, etc. Lucas pointed out seals, seabirds, a little blue ‘fairy’ penguin, and some stingrays.
We kayaked for a good couple of hours in the morning and then stopped for lunch at Bark Bay. We paid the additional $ to have lunch included. There was certainly plenty of food. After lunch we kayaked for another couple of hours finishing at Anchorage.
There are flushing toilets at Bark Bay and Anchorage, along with an outdoor tap for hand washing.
On a sunny day remember to reapply sunscreen at lunchtime otherwise at the end of the day you’ll be a bit sunburnt with the sun reflecting off the water.
Well worth it.

The most epic day exploring in our own backyard. Kayaking in the Abel Tasman is a must! You won’t be disappointed and the guided tours are highly recommended. The guides just made the day extra amazing. Great knowledge, friendly, and helpful.

We had the best time today with R and R kayaks! Rohan was a brilliant guide. He taught us how to use the kayaks/spray deck/paddles and how to steer the boat with the peddles. Once we'd had our lesson we got out into the water and it was GORGEOUS! We saw seals, and different birdlife, got in at the coastline to see the rocks and flora, and had an epic view of the Abel Tasman from the water.
We stopped on one beach for coffee and cake and then on the island for our lunch.
It was a really terrific day and Rohan did a great job of looking after us but also giving us space to paddle off and explore. Would recommend this family-owned company to anyone - we felt like family too :)

We did this tour with our teenage sons and everyone had such a great time. The scenery was stunning - especially the lagoons. We loved seeing the seals, had a delicious lunch on the beach, and our guide was fabulous. Such a great experience and a must do activity when you are in the area. Highly recommend R&R Kayaks.

We had an amazing experience with r&r, our guide Tom was the best! After a little boat tour we set out kayaking and found baby seals who played around our kayaks. We saw kayaked for about 4-5 hours along the coats and had the most amazing view, and great stories from our guide. Highly recommend

Epic trip!! The gear was really good, great kayak and we were equipped with all things needed to stay dry and comfy. The guide Tom was really on to it, he had lots of cool facts and stories about the park, and was very facilitating. Lunch was delicious, coffee, snack, juice, we got spoiled enough for sure. The surrounding is amazing, the baby seals playing around the kayak was the highlight. A day not to forget!

Never done kajaking. 70 years. A bit problems with the hip.is this for me?

I’d call R&R kayaks and chat to then. They’re really friendly and will be able to advise accordingly. I’d say only do a half day kayaking tour though especially if you’ve not kayaked before.
