Fantastic company and fantastic guides!!!

This tour was a highlight of our trip. We discovered Big Bend Boating and Hiking Company when we rented hiking poles from them, and then later booked our full day Rio Grande canoe trip with them. Kayla our guide is INCREDIBLE. One of the best guides we’ve ever had on any trip. So unbelievably knowledgeable and fun. 10/10. We absolutely loved the whole day. The owner is SO nice too.

We had a super fun trip. Our guide, Dillon, was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and highly competent. Our small group of 5 was perfect. We luckily caught a day with ideal weather too.

One of the best run and most friendly businesses around. Don't hesitate.

This outfit is the BEST. Owned by two sisters, Erin and Ericka, this outfit is about as well run as you can imagine. We went an a multi-day float trip through Boquillas Canyon during the spring and couldn't have been more impressed.

All planning, all gear, all food, all cooking is done by the guides. Everything is organized and as efficient as can be. At the same time, E&E run a "friendly" company where there is no use doing anything unless it is fun and respectful to the canyon and river.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Great value for money. Great people.

Andrew was the best!

We had a great experience with the half day float trip in Dark Canyon. The trip was organized, safe, and well executed from start to finish. Andrew, our guide, had a wealth of information to share on the drive to where we put in and throughout our trip. The float trip itself is fun but he made it even more so. We are already planning another visit back to Big Bend to do a full day or overnight float trip and hope Andrew is our guide again.

Really professional, knowledgeable, guides. Really appreciate all the work that our guides put in. The conditions were great so we were able to float even a bit farther than the guides originally planned. The experience start to finish was top notch!

Amazing experience kayaking down the Rio Grande. Erin booked an extra afternoon trip just to accommodate my wife and I. Our guide, Devo was as cool as the other side of the pillow. Super knowledgeable and professional. Can’t wait to go back. Already planning a return trip. Big Bend Boating and Hiking will be our first stop!

Rafting Big Bend with great people!
After a long hike to the South Rim the day before, my two friends and I were ready for a more relaxing Saturday. We drove into the parking lot and met Erin and Erica out front. They were incredibly friendly, welcomed us, described the rafting options and explained that the afternoon half day trip had some availability. Andrew was our guide and he was awesome. He kept us all engaged during the 45 minute drive upstream with an interesting discussion of plants, history, geology and water (including why the Rio Grande is so high now even though it’s almost dry below El Paso). No silly stuff. Just really nice people. Great attention to safety and fun. Would recommend them to everyone. Note that these are the guys are on Highway 118 in a black building on the west side of the road at the bottom of the hill (as opposed to the similarly named outfit around the corner).

Erin did a great job educating the group in our van while riding out to the launch. So much great information that I was not expecting. The guides really allowed each boat to go at their own pace and enjoy the trip. We took our time along the trip for a lunch and BYOB and others shared as well. We had a great time and plan on returning to participate in multi day trip. Thanks Erin and crew.
