- ツアーは、ポートダグラスのホテルでのお迎えから始まり、ほど近いマリーナまで移動します。シュノーケリング仕様のボードに上船し、アウター・リーフに向けて出帆します。このボートでエイジンコート・リーフ、オパール・リーフ、タング・リーフなどサンゴ礁の外側にある離れた地点に移動できます。 最初のスポットに到着すると、クルーはまず、シュノーケリングの基本技術について説明し、初のシュノーケリングやダイビングをトライするための準備をしていただきます。お客様の経験レベルや選択されたツアーオプションに応じて、次のうちいずれかをお選びいただけます。（1）リーフ周辺でのスイミングとシュノーケリングを楽しむ、（2）4人までの少人数グループによる入門レベルのダイビングに参加してPADI認定ダイブマスターの指導を受ける、または（3）7人までのグループによる認定ダイビングに参加してPADI認定ダイブマスターの指導を受ける。 2番目のスポットに移動する途中で、おいしいモーニングティーを楽しみます。このスポットでは（1）2回目のダイビングを行う、（2）ガイド付きのシュノーケリングツアーに参加する、（3）または自由にスイミングやシュノーケリングを楽しむことができます。 水の中で動いてお腹が空いたら、船の上でランチビュッフェを楽しんだ後、その日3番目に予定された最後のスポットに移動します。 海で1日を過ごした後は、グレートバリアリーフの美景を堪能しながらアフタヌーンティーを賞味し、ポートダグラスに戻ります。マリーナに到着すると、宿泊先のホテルまでドライバーがお送りします。

体力的に安心な4時間ツアー。
13時出発便。クラゲの時期だったので、スティンガースーツが貸し出されました。船上で水着の上に着用します。海に入る時、希望者はヌードルと呼ばれる発泡スチロールの浮き具を持って、それを補助にできます。足がつかない場所でシュノーケルするので、安心感がありました。インストラクターの方がジャンボクラムまで案内し、その後範囲を定めて自由に泳ぎます。珊瑚礁、無数の魚、海亀とも泳げました。疲れて陸に上がり休憩していると、波打ち際に小さなサメが。シュノーケリング後は、島内散歩、シュノーケル続行、ビーチで休憩と思い思いに過ごせて、体力に合わせて動けて楽でした。帰りは、船上でマフィンと果物、温かいコーヒー紅茶が出て、ホッとしました。船はそれなりに揺れます。（私たちは酔い止め薬を飲み、大丈夫でした。）pontoonからインではなく、浜からインできるので、体力に自信がなくても安心なツアーです。

Lovely cruise with great snorkelling. The staff were incredibly helpful and efficient. We went to 3 dive spots and had one of the best snorkel experiences of our lives.

We went on the all-day Calypso blue catamaran for diving and snorkeling out to Opal Reef on the GBR, northeast of Port Douglas. The boat crew were most friendly. Two of us dove and witnessed amazing corals and sea-life. You have the opportunity to do up to three senate dives if you wish. Our dive master Tim was great and he took good care of his underwater flock. Two of us snorkeled on the reef, at three different locations, and it was simply spectacular. Reminiscent in the abundance and variety of sea-life and corals like at Caneel Bay and Jamaica 30 years ago, this snorkeling surpasses both. Phoebe of Calpso gave the passengers a highly informative presentation on the local sea-like, corals and origin of the GBR. We highly recommend this tour if you really want to see the GBR close- up.

Great crew! The boat wasn't too crowded and we had tons of time in the water. Felt very safe and saw a ton of coral. It's definitely a full day. Even had a little patchy cell reception at the outer reef

A wonderful experience to snorkel at 3 different sites on the outer barrier reef. My favourite parts were the guided snorkel where we were shown many different variety of coral and fish, and the informative talk about the reef.
This is a full day and most people were very tired afterwards, make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen! Overall a top tier experience.

I have dived in many locations and I can say that diving in the great barrier reef and doing it with Calypso has been the best experience i have had diving since I started when I was 13!
We were in our honeymoon, i am certified diver and my wife was doing an introductory dive, she couldn't have choosen a better team to do it!!
Calypso tours are extremely well organised, they take care of everything, boat is amazing, fast and stable, it has a great platform that makes it really easy to get in and out of the water, gear is modern and in good condition. I wouldn't choose any other tour company, they are simply THE BEST!
The hole crew makes your experience amazing, special mention to Irene, Rachel, Imogen and Ruth. Did my first dive with Imogen and she wrote in her notebook underwater all the things that we were seeing so that I wouldn't miss anything, we even saw a reef shark!!
Did my second and third dive with Irene and It just doesn't get any better. Insane experience, Irene knows all the possible signals to show you every single living creature of the great barrier reef and she knows how to find them all!
Thank you for everything Calypso, we will definitely come back and I recommend it to everyone, from beginners to experienced divers. My wife had the time of her life and she is now in love with diving thanks to calypso!

I did two days of introductory scuba dives with Raoul. He was a great instructor and has eagle eyes underwater. We were able to identify the big stuff swimming around but he also was able to identify some of the smaller, harder to see things too. We did three dives per day while the other guys in town were only doing two intro dives per day. Great value and even better experience with the whole team including Pam, Cam, Alex, Austin, Irene, Ruth, Lachie, Phoebe, Jessie, Ruby, and Rachel.
If I had more time, I would've done more dives with this team. They were the best!

We had an excellent time on our cruise out the the Great Barrier Reef. The crew were very helpful and professional, and ran an appropriately tight operation. Journey out to the reef was a little over an hour. Of the 75 people aboard, around 25 were diving, with approx 17 doing introductory or discovery dives like us. The onboard briefings were robust, and safety precautions were taken seriously. The crew worked hard to make it a fun experience and were successful in our opinion. For the dive we had an instructor between 2 of us, with one instructor to two or one to three seemed the norm on our cruise. Jorge and Raul took charge of us and were helpful and professional in all that they did. The instructor guided us down to the reef and navigated/shepherded us around for the 30 minute dive. An awesome experience of a lifetime. Opal reef sites were teeming with all sorts of fish, and the coral showed off brilliantly in the sunshine.
Other points. No footwear is allowed on the boats, not uncommon on cruises such as this. Our cruise had around 75 people and did not feel crowded. The boat was stable and hardly anyone seemed to suffer from the motion. Wind was ESE at 10mph, reducing in the day, with 1-2 ft waves (sorry metric folks).Friends traveling with us opted for a smaller snorkeling-only cruise - on a smaller boat - and there was much more motion and sickness. The largest boats are the most stable, accommodating a couple of hundred people, so are somewhat busier. We were extremely happy with our Calypso experience, and my wife suffers from seasickness but was comfortable on the ride out. We had opted for pick up from our accommodation. Through no fault of Calypso (due to other clients not being ready for pick up) our pick up was 20 minutes late, and we slipped our mooring only a couple of minutes after getting aboard. We may have missed some of the welcome aboard and settling in. Once the dive staff realized, they made space for us in the area reserved for diving briefings, safety training/protocols and other paperwork.
All in all, a first rate organization resulting in a memorable experience, and good value for money.

This was an amazing day out and our expectations were exceeded. We had already done an amazing tour on the Great Barrier Reef to a pontoon earlier on in the week so we’re nervous about just being on a boat all day. However, this was a benefit as we got to visit three amazing sites throughout the day.
The snorkelling spots are excellent! We have snorkelled all over the world and the spots on this tour were the best we have ever done. The variety and number of things to watch are mind blowing.
The staff on the boat are also top notch. Really friendly and helpful. They even watched our young daughter for a bit while my wife and I ventured further while she had a rest. Also the music they played throughout the day set an amazing vibe.
If you want to visit the reef you need to do it with Calypso!

Great day out snorkeling and diving. Those who dived within the group didn't think the diving was value for money due to the dive being cut short. They resurfaced to change their goggles, then didn't go back down. Might be better to take your own to get the full dive experience. The pictures they take are ok, reef ones are generic which is a bit disappointing as they didn't capture any of us near the reef. We still had a memorable day and these were just minor things. Highly recommend this tour company.

How many divers is it per guide for certified divers?

I was the only certified diver on my trip, so I had 1:1 guidance. Amazing! I believe the typical is 4:1.

My wife has a perforated eardrum - had it since childhood - would she be able to scuba? We will be in PD for a few days before Christmas and would love to come on a trip. Andrew

Hi, I would email Calypso direct and ask them. From what little I know, you need to complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving .
