Hi Brendan, we’re sorry that you feel aggrieved, that was not our intention, we always do our best to accommodate these specialist longer tours where we can, however we are not always able to due to booking numbers and vehicle availability, which is why they are not ‘confirmed tour’ options. As per our email correspondence with you, the particular tour you booked is always ‘subject to availability’. We did not have a confirmed ‘Bannockburn’s Finest Tour’ operating on the 14th of February as no one else was booked on for this tour. As explained, we have a range of tour options, of which some show ‘live availability’ but others like our Bannockburn’s Finest and Private Tours are ‘subject to availability’ as we have a limited number of guides and vehicles. We clearly state on our website that this particular tour product is ‘subject to availability’ in the product description, and also at the point of booking within the correspondence message: “Please note: This product is on request. We will confirm availability within the shortest possible time after we receive your order.” You booked online, after hours, on Sunday evening, and we informed you as soon as possible after that, at 8:21am on Monday morning, that unfortunately we did not have availability and processed a full refund that day for you. We’re sorry that you were disappointed and that you thought you had a confirmed booking, and we are looking at how we can make this clearer on our website and within the booking system.
