This was an amazing experience! Its about a 2 hour drive from San Juan. The chiliboats were easy to use and not super strenuous. Our guide Waldy was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He took his time explaining how to use the chiliboats and made sure we were comfortable throughout the experience. It was a great way to explore the natural beauty of La Parguera! We encountered several different fish and birds along our route. There's plenty to do in the area after the boat tour.

What an amazing day we had with this company!! I lot looked different and fun, but was worried that it might be too much work, like paddling a paddleboat. It was actually super fun and so easy. The boats/bikes are very responsive and glide on the water easily. Our guide was really nice and the entire tour was just fun and relaxing and such a unique experience. I had never seen anything quite like this before an dam so glad I took advantage of the opportunity to try it out!! Plus it’s a small family owned business and we love supporting local businesses.

If you’re wondering…Yes!!!! The Chiliboat tour should definitely be on your Puerto Rico itinerary!!! The tour was everything we expected and much MORE! The tour guides attentiveness and personal love of the island, breathtaking nature and marine life that surrounds The Parguera,made our experience all the more special. He answered all questions we had before, during, and after. Stopping to explore the beautiful mangroves and Cayo caracoles was great!!! He even brought water, snacks, and took pictures. We went early morning and the tranquility and calmness of The Parguera were spectacular! Just can’t say enough about our experience!! It’s a must when in Puerto Rico!

My wife, daughter and grand daughter did a tour back in early January. Our hosts were very obliging and helpful and we very quickly all felt safe on our chili boats. The weather was not the best when we went out but we (they) can not control that.
My only criticism was that I would have preferred to "boat" more around the various "cays" rather than standing for awhile in the water talking. But, as I said earlier, I might have felt different if it had not been cloudy and cooler.
That said, I would still recommend this to other people who are considering using the chili boats and this operator.

Gerry, thank you for your visit and sharing your experience! We had such a wonderful time with you and family. I really enjoyed talking to all of you and sharing experiences about cycling and thriatlons with your daughter! About weather you are right, we cannot control this Caribbean weather but still we enjoyed the ride; sunny when going out/cloudy-with a little wind during the ride which we controlled with smooth pedaling; thankfully no rain and still clear waters. This specific tour your daughter booked informs we visit one cay. We even mentioned it was shallow in our area and you could go walking around, you decided to stay and talk, which was nice! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay!

If you're traveling from the San Juan area, note that La Parguera is almost 3 hrs away via highway and local roads. I arrived just as they were about to depart. Also, if you cannot Spanish, you may have language issues because many locals don't speak fluent Ingles (English) including the tour guide. Otherwise, well worth the $$$ and it gets you outside of the San Juan and Ponce tourist traps and experience the locals. The tour itself is serene and make sure that you are in shape because you will be pedaling for about 1 mi to a large sandbar in the ocean which can only be accessed via kayak, water bike, or powerboat.

We had the best time ever on the chiliboats - so easy to control and ride. Wally and Maria were amazing guides with so much knowledge of the area. We loved the beach they took us to - water was beautiful! They took tons of pictures of us as part of our package. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

Excelente tour 100% recomendado para toda la familia. Es una experiencia totalmente diferente a ir en bote. Además es super fácil y segura. Cualquiera puede hacerlo. Es tan fácil como caminar (Gracias a Dios que podemos caminar). Es conocer a PR desde el agua. Hágalo, esta experiencia no se consigue en ninguna otra parte del mundo.

No, not really. Everyone wears a life vest while on the watercraft. There is an extended stay at the mangrove island (about 30-40 minutes. You will likely want to be in the water but you can keep your life vest on. Some of the area is shallow enough that you can stand there
