My sister (not a teen) and I trusted The Andes Adventure for all three days of our visit to Medellin and they delivered superbly. Juan Camilo was first up and we connected with him immediately. He's was warm and welcoming, with a wicked sense of humor and deep knowledge of the area's history. It felt like we were spending the day with a longtime friend vs. a tour guide. He added delightful surprise stops (like the petting farm) and special touches like the fruit tasting that we appreciated, and shared personal anecdotes from his life that broadened our understanding of the country. Absolutely one of the best days of our visit!

If I could give it 10 stars I would !! Amazing tour guide. I learned more about Colombia history and politics than I could have ever learned from a book. Guatape was incredible. Go early !!!! Never on Sunday. What

Wow! First, Daniel, our tour guide was exceptional!
Guatape and climbing the rock and views are really cool. As is the colorful local town. No spoilers but they’re is some interesting history he will share. Daniel recommended we left early morning and although I’m not a morning person it was totally worth it. There were only a handful of people when we started the climb up the rock. By the time we enjoyed the views at the top and took some awesome picture there were tons of tourists climbing up, which would have taken away from the experience.
Tour guides like Daniel make a great destination an EPIC an experience.
He also gave us tons of history on the 1.5 hour drive about Colombia from a local perspective and he answered my many questions.
He is from Medellin but lived in Boston for 5 years so his English is fantastic.

COMPLETELY A MUST DO!
We booked a tour to Guatape with The Andes Adventure, it’s seemed a professional company, with bilingual guides and great reviews, we simply have no words, we had as a guide Juan Carlos, so knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and funny, Guatape is just out of this world, literally the most colorful town I’ve seen in my life, and the timing of trip was perfect because we had a flight by 4:00 pm to Cartagena, we didn’t know if we had enough time, but Daniel, that helped us out thoughout our reservation and answered every question we had, let us know if we started a little earlier we’ll have enough time to see everything without any rush, they left us right at the gate of the airport when we finished!! I recommend a thousand times this company, don’t doubt on contacting them.

The experience was amazing, Guatapé is a must see when you travel to Medellín and the tour was excellent, nice attention, good knowledge from our guide Juan Camilo. It was a real pleasure we made it!

We are 2 travelers who went for a day trip to La Piedra del Peñol and Guatape. We had a fantastic time! Our guide, Juan Carlos, was extremely considerate and knowledgeable. Pick up was timely. We cannot say enough about the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This was the best tour we have done in Colombia and I am so happy we booked it last minute! Daniel was meant to be our tour guide but he unfortunately had an emergency that morning. Despite this, he was very punctual in letting us know and in updating us with a new tour guide who arrived in 30minutes! We ended up going with Sebastian who was an amazing guide - very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. Guatape is worth doing if you go to Medellin and I felt that we spent the right amount of time at every stop. There is also an option to do a coffee tour which adds 1.5h but we had already booked plans that night and could not go. Also Sebastian took some amazing quality pics of me and my boyfriend - we were really impressed with his skills!
Overall highly recommend this tour!

We had a great time with Juan Camilo. It was just me and my partner on tour with Juan. He drove us around in his comfortable car. We went to all the places listed on the tour. Juan was very knowledgeable, passionate, nice, and engaging the whole trip. He also took several great photos of us that we will always remember. We endulged in some of the local treats and bought some souvenirs. The scenery was beautiful. We even got to feed and pet some cute animals on a farm along the way.
Overall it was an excellent time. Please note it could last up to 8 hours. Travelers should also be aware that the mountainous terrain can make you a bit car sick so bring some medication with you! The climb up guatupe was DIFFICULT. I am an active person and I had to stop several times along my way to catch my breath. The climb up the rock is definitely not for the unhealthy or overweight as there are very narrow corridors to traverse.
Overall it was an excellent time. Please note it could last up to 8 hours. Travelers should also be aware that the mountainous terrain can make you a bit car sick so bring some medication with you! The climb up guatupe was DIFFICULT. I am an active person and I had to stop several times along my way to catch my breath. Wonderful tour with Esteban! This was the perfect amount of time to see and do everything we wanted to in Guatape. Esteban was a wonderful guide with lots of information and insight. He even found a restaurant for our friend to have a veganized typical Colombian dish, which she loved! He got us to the airport with enough time to check in and chill before our flight, nothing felt rushed. Highly recommend!
