We wanted to visit somewhere none of our friends had been to before and Kanazawa, which faces the sea of Japan, seemed like a logical choice. But having no previous experience of this city, what were we to do?
Easy! When we found out we could hire a guide who could show us around Kanazawa in one day and take professional photos as well, all the pressure was removed completely. TK Photography looked after us from beginning to end.
After meeting at our hotel, he showed us the traditional district of Higashi Chaya before all the tour buses arrived. This has a similar (although sufficiently different) feel to Gion in Kyoto. And here in Kanazawa we could easily visit Geisha and Samurai Houses which we couldn’t arrange to see elsewhere.
Next it was onto the busy Omicho Market where TK made some great suggestions for our choice of seafood lunch. He then took us to Kenrokuen Garden, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan.
Being January, the interplay of white snow on green mossy trees and water gardens was a truly beautiful sight to behold, and those images, wow! Even I looked good! Finally, TK showed us the adjacent Kanazawa Castle where we finished our tour before returning us to our hotel.
Now here’s the bottom line - we could never have achieved this in six hours on our own. TK knows his city and knows all the views. He kindly offered suggestions which we went with and even incorporated some of our own. He also gave us some free time in which to shop or to explore for ourselves. And all his photos were a truly wonderful addition to or trip!
So if you’re trying to decide on a new place to visit (before everyone else gets onto it), why not give Kanazawa a go? It has it all, and yet we hardly saw any overseas faces there.
If you’re not entirely happy with any of the pictures that you’ve taken so far then fear not, as TK Photography has you covered…

We did this as part of our honeymoon for some professional pictures. TK was a great photographer and an even better tour guide. I highly recommend this for any couple looking for quality photos and also a great tour around Kanazawa.

We loved our experience with TK. He took us to the most picturesque parts of Kanazawa and took the most amazing photos. He was flexible with our needs on the day and even moved our appointment forward at short notice. He drove us around (no need to deal with the hassle of public transport), and even dropped us at places to shop while he found parking. Finally, we received our edited photos in only two days and they are beautiful. It is clear from the photos we received that TK is master photographer - with each one beautifully framed and (following his direction) posed. Even if you aren't someone who normally considers doing a photoshoot, there is no better way to experience Kanazawa than doing a photoshoot tour with TK!

My family enjoyed having TK as our guide and professional photographer. He made it easy for our family to enjoy the Kanazawa area. We saw everything that we wanted to see, walked minimally since it was so hot, and the photo-taking was fun, too! He didn’t expect us to feed him (though we wanted to and he finally gave in on day 2) and gave us some freedom to explore on our own. Unintrusive, but there enough as a guide to share his local knowledge, we were very satisfied. His tours were among my favorite guided day-trips, and we’ve gone on many! We will definitely use TK again when we visit Japan during another season!

EXCELLENT TOUR. VERY WELL PLANNED ITINERARY. WE COVERED KANAZAWA BEST PLACES IN ONE DAY AND THE BEST PHOTO ANGLES POINT LOCATIONS WERE QUICKLY SELECTED. THE BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS WERE A PLUS.

TK an amazing photographer in Kanazawa who gave us the best day of sightseeing and terrific photos to share.
We had an amazing day with TK our professional photographer who not only gave us an awesome day around Kanazawa but took some memorable photos of us to celebrate our time in this great city.
TK picked us up in a very comfortable vehicle and we started the day at Higashi Chaya district before it got too busy and we got some get photos. This was followed by a trip to Nagamichi Samurai residence area. We got some terrific photos in this area and we had the opportunity to see the Samurai house and museum. TK took us to look at Omicho market which is a seafood lover’s dream. We then went to have coffee in one of the oldest cafe spots next to the Omicho market which again was lovely. TK was such a professional and knowledgeable guide and he made our day just perfect with some great photos. We finished the day at the beautiful Kenrokuen gardens and Kanazawa castle. A full day with TK is worth every dollar as he really knows his art and made us feel comfortable with his directions making the end result the perfect day out with the most professional photographer.

I did a solo trip and was looking for a tour guide. TK did a great job showing me around Kanazawa and took amazing photos! Much better than your average photo taken by a tourist. He also gave great tips on food to try and night spots for photography. Thank you again!

I had a wonderful day with TK, and truly enjoyed all the photos he took! There was a mixup with my kimono rental, but TK was very accommodating, and waited patiently while things got sorted out. (He also let me change my clothes in the van, so I could have a couple different looks in the pictures.)
It was interesting learning about the history of the Kanazawa samurai area, Kenrokuen Garden, castle, and geisha area--he's full of interesting information. Another bonus was that he had great ideas for where to go when one part of the garden was closed, or when when alleyway was too crowded with other tourists.
If you're in Kanazawa and want a guided tour plus great photos, I highly recommend him!

TK was lovely. Both of us were under the weather but TK adjusted our dates for us and on the day made us feel comfortable the whole time. The experience was fun, we saw lots of Kanazawa and the photos were fantastic. We loved the little detour making tiny origami cranes.

if 1 person only, how much is the rate for the 1 day tour + photoshoot?
I plan to come from nagoya, Can i meet you at kanazawa station,
Afterwards I will come back to nagoya so drop off at kanazawa station
