I highly recommend this excursion with EcoMarine. Kevin and Graham were excellent guides who provide a great experience with the seals. I was amazed at how close the seals got to us in the kayaks; they were so playful! You don't need any skill for this, and the reward is great.

We highly recommend this excursion, which is suitable for all ages and requires no physical ability! Kevin and Graham (two very likeable, committed, humorous guides) showed us and explained a lot of interesting things. Among other things, we had photo stops with the flamingos, at a pink salt lake, a shipwreck, with jackals...rain gear was provided. The seals got really close to the boats while kayaking. We saw many seal colonies and also pelicans. This excursion definitely was one of the best of our vacation.

If you do nothing else in the area (and there is a wide variety of fun and active things to do, we know)…take this tour…with this company! We just finished our kayak tour with Kevin and his assistant Wery. From booking to drop off, we had an absolutely flawless experience with professionals who are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do and excel at customer service, fun, education, and respect for the environment. The vehicle is clean and comfortable, the group is intentionally kept small, Kevin and Wery talked the entire drive to the launch site about what we were seeing out our windows, stopped for us to take photos, and explained and identified all the wildlife we encountered. They provide everything you need to stay warm, dry, and fueled (water to drink, towels, waterproof pants, windbreakers, dry bags, life jackets, boats & paddles in good condition, and a delicious light lunch afterward). Our 12-year-old was the odd man out in our family and so was paired in a kayak with Wery who took great care to make sure he had an amazing time. Today we had zero waves and unnoticeable current or wind. We weren’t paddling as much as just floating amongst the seals so it felt like very little physical exertion was required; you shouldn’t be worried about coming with children or not being strong enough. Of course the thousands of seals were the highlight of the day and there’s no more incredible way to view them than six inches away as they dance around your kayak. There’s absolutely nothing negative I could say about our day today. I couldn’t recommend this experience or company more highly!

We loved this experience, our tour guide Graham was superb, very knowledgeable, informative, funny and extremely conscious and considerate of the wildlife. Every minute spent interacting with the seals was amazing. I can’t recommend these enough , what a great day . Many thanks to both of our great guides.

Rowing a kayak is an awesome experience with no fear of drowning. You will not capsize as the water is calm.
Interacting with the seals were precious and unforgetable as they come and "kiss" your hand or play with the ore.

Absolutely amazing experience! Kevin was a wonderful guide, he is very knowledgeable about the wildlife so we learned a lot about the animals we saw. I especially appreciated the non-intrusive and respectful approach to the animals. We saw many seals, flamingos, and lots of other birds. We also saw some jackals, dolphins and even two whales from the distance! Kayaking was super fun, young seals were very intrigued by us and made the experience super entertaining. Would highly recommend it to anyone!

Naam selecteren en aanklikken om waardering te geven
Ontzettend leuke (halve) dag tour naar Pelican Point waar je even helemaal in de natuur waant. De gidsen zijn spraakzaam en vertellen veel leuke informatieve weetjes over het land en de natuur die zij zo goed kennen. Het kayakken wordt met veel respect voor de natuur gedaan (hier waren wij nog wel een beetje huiverig voor) maar je start op afstand van de dieren en onderweg komen de zeehonden vanzelf naar je toe. Regenkleding, vervoer naar Pelican Point en lunch op het strand is allemaal inclusief. Tijdens het kayakken worden er ook nog wat foto'tjes van je geschoten. Al met al een geweldige ervaring

De mannen van Eco marine kayak tours nemen je mee op een tour waar je weken later nog steeds met een grote glimlach aan terugdenkt. Onderweg naar het 'kajakken met zeehonden' heb je al ontmoetingen met flamingo's en jakhalzen en maak je een prachtige rit over het strand naar de baai waar je gaat kajakken.
En dan het kajakken zelf; woorden schieten tekort. Het is werkelijk één van de leukste dingen die ik ooit gedaan heb!
De mannen zorgen ervoor dat alles veilig en comfortabel is, bouwen vóór je de kajaks instapt een 'bush-WC' voor de dames en serveren na afloop ook nog een heerlijke lunch op het strand. Bovendien maken ze foto's die je achteraf toegestuurd krijgt.

Super activité! Trajet jusqu’à Pélican point ponctué d’animaux: pélicans, flamants roses, cormorans, chacals, passage à proximité des salines puis activité kayak au milieu des très nombreuses otaries, et cerise sur le gâteau, au milieu des dauphins! Petit bémol sur l’équipement fourni (pantalons pas tous étanches , et pas forcément de chaussures de vêtements adaptés aux tailles des enfants )

Really magical experience that gets you up close to the beautiful, curious seal pups. Kevin and Graham are fantastic guides who know their stuff. If the seals aren’t enough you should also see Jackals and many different birds on your drive to the kayaking area. We highly recommend this experience to animal lovers of all ages.
