- Ambassador80685700参加者２名だけのプライベートツアーでした。歴史を学びたいと思い、このツアーに参加しました。当日のガイドはHさん。自分（日本人）と英国人の２名だけの、ほぼプライベートツアー。ガイドされる内容も、聞きたいこともクリアになり、本当に勉強になりました（たまに日本語を挟む程度で、ほぼ英語でした）。なお、ガイドさんを含め、我々３名ともに同じ年代ということもあり、和気あいあいとした、本当に楽しいツアーで、別れが名残惜しかったです。英語が理解できる日本人の方も、是非、参加してみてください。蛇足ですが、日本では蝉（cicada）の声がするんだね、なんてことも英国人の方は言っていたのですが、普段、蝉なんて単語を使わないから、英単語や文章の言い回しなどの勉強にもなりました。
- Navigator6285320878500京都の日常を学べるツアー京都駅から東本願寺とその界隈の伝統工芸品のお店を見学し、神社、町家などを巡り、和菓子屋さんで休憩、豊国神社、清水焼工房、販売店を見学し、清水寺前で終了するツアーでした。ガイドの勉強に・・・と参加させていただいたのですが、たくさんのことを学ぶことができました。5時間のウオーキングツアーは長いかな？と思って参加したのですが、内容が濃くあっと言う間の時間でした。ガイドさんは英語レベルが高いだけでなく、説明方法もわかりやすく素晴らしかったです。 京都の日常の生活に興味がある方に、ぜひお勧めしたいツアーです。

My friend and I met up with Mie early in the morning and we had a packed itinerary. We visited the sake museum, orange gates, 1,000 Buddhist statues, the "Big Stage," and Gion. We had our apprehensions as we dont speak a word of Japanese, and our American sense of humor is considered a "hit or miss." However, Mie instantly put us at ease with her fluent English, her charismatic personality, her sense of humor, and her overall positive energy.
She was well-versed in history and educated us, made us laugh, and kept us entertained throughout the six (6) plus hours we were with her. All while navigating us as if we were liquid, flowing through the dense crowds and other tourists as easy as breathing. She was also very professional, making sure we were comfortable.
We made pit stops before the longer treks, and I am sad to say our ONLY complaint was that we couldn't get her a slice of chocolate cake that day as a "thank you." We were able to feed our mutual coffee addiction, at least.
We had the most wonderful time and highly recommend her as your guide. Just be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes!

Our tour guide Chaco showed up thirty minutes early to ensure she was on time, very knowledgeable, patient, and considerate throughout the entire trip. She also was very engaging with conversation and had several pictures of historical references she talked about at each location. We never felt rushed, she went at our pace, and she answered any and all questions about not only the attraction but culture, language, expression, and even souvenirs.
The tour was very good as well, we were able to see several attractions and transport very quickly between the sites. My wife and I agreed that it was very much worth it. I would recommend this tour to any person looking to spend the day looking at all of the major locations In koyoto.
Also it is mostly by foot so be prepared to walk at 10,000 - 12,000 steps during this tour.

Great tour where we saw a lot of the attractions in Kyoto. It was nice to be able to take our time anywhere we were, no real timeline. It rained most of the day and my son and I got soaked because we didn’t bring an umbrella (on us)…but because of that, most of the attractions had very few people there…almost like we had the locations to ourself! The best part was Chako (I hope I’m spelling that correctly). She was a very knowledgeable guide and very patient. We ended the tour a little early due to the rain turning into a downpour…she was holding some tickets for us that we wanted to save. Because we ended early and jumped in a taxi, we forgot the tickets. 30 minutes after we got back to our hotel, we had a knock at our door and she had dropped off the tickets to the front desk! Thank you (I hope you read this). What- kind gesture! Highly recommend!

After adventuring on our own for ten days in Japan, we wanted to have someone show us around Kyoto so we could make the most of our one day there. Mia was amazing. We got up slightly hung over, barely made our train from Osaka to Kyoto, but met Mia at the Hotel Granvia right on time. Our day was fantastic from that point on. Mia was so knowledgeable about things historic, cultural and interesting about Japan, and Kyoto in particular. We learned about sake making, sampled a few types, had a great lunch, visited a few temples, including viewing the 1000 wooden gold flaked Buddhas… very moving. Even though it rained a bit during our excursion, Mia was the perfect guide, and a great conversationalist with our questions about everything. She got us into our taxi just in time to finish up our private tour and get us to our dinner reservations. Five stars every time!

We booked the northern itinerary and met up with our lovely guide and embarked on a full day touring the bamboo grove, rock garden, golden pavilion and Nijo castle. Very well paced, lot's of interaction from our guide and a lovely lunch at a small raman restaurant. Highly recommended.

Thank you for being our guide, Peter. We loved our unforgettable experience at the monkey park and our ride along the river was beautiful. The bamboo forest was breathtaking and we learned new facts about bamboo too! Maneuvering through the city streets was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thank you for helping us gain new knowledge of the temples and shrines.

Mie Tamada was an amazing guide and learning with her was like discovering a new layer of culture and connections that we couldn't have discovered on our own.
We'd been to Kyoto before and had a great time exploring on our own, but seeing it through her eyes was so much better. Mie led us to the bamboo grove, wonderful river ravine views in the Kameyama Park, into the famous rock gardens of the Ryoan-ji temple, to the ponds and gardens of the Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), and to the Nijo-jo Castle.
We had really interactive and interesting discussions with Mie and she was really insightful and open about Japanese culture, as well as extremely knowledgeable about Japanese history. She really loves her vocation and even during the pandemic she spent the time deepening her knowledge of Japanese history. It was a great good fortune to be on a private tour with her where we could get the maximum benefit from her expertise.

We just caught the train..JRpass fantastic, 800m walk from the station. Definitely try the crab along the way, and enjoy the serenity of bamboo that sways in the breeze..beautiful spot..walk up to the top another surprise awaits..

We took two all-day tours with Mie (Southwest and Northwest Kyoto). Both tours were exceptional. Our guide, was informative, friendly, and fun. She had a complete tour in mind at the start, but was willing to customize it based on how much time we wanted to spend at each stop. We are both fairly fast walkers so we were able to see what we wanted and were rewarded with the addition of a few bonus stops. Helpful Hint: Kyoto is the Kimono capital of Japan. If you rent a Kimono, you can get discounts at many local stores and restaurants.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Mia, our guide, was fantastic and very knowledgeable and also very funny. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone going to Kyoto. It gives you a good feel for the local culture and also the lay of the land. We also had a great lunch and ate things I probably would not have tried. All in all it was a brilliant day.

Hello
I will be travelling to Kyoto with my husband and two kids (4 and 1 year old). We would like to have a private tour, approximately 5-6 hours which takes into account the presence fo the kids (some time to rest in between visits and not too muck walking). Can you propose something? Can we modify the pre-defined tours?

How long is this tour? We want to see both the bamboo forest and the Fushimi Inari Taishi would that be possible to do in the same day?

Hi There, since i went on our own, we took public transport, so we did them in two days, while if you plan to hire a car, I think it is possible to visit both place in one day, but still kind of rush...

We are traveling in October and My 91 year old mother will be with us. She can walk but tires so we will be bringing a wheelchair with us for when she gets tired. We are looking into the Southeast tour. Is this doable with her wheelchair?(she can get in/out of it to go up/ down steps or to enter the bus)
