Private Kyoto Tour
Fuji-San was our guide for the 4 hour tour we booked. From the planning stages through to the tour, her hospitality and organization was first class. We not only wanted to see some of the sites of Kyoto but also learn about the history and culture behind them. Fuji-San had a wealth of knowledge and we learned a lot. We were able to accomplish visiting the Fushimi-Inari shrine, the Golden Temple and Nijo Castle. All amazing and beautiful sites.

At the end of our tour Fuji-San was even kind enough to help navigate us to our next stop which we really appreciated.

I would highly recommend Fuji-San and Japan Wonder Travel.

Great City, Great Tour Guide, Great Time

A great way to see Kyoto! Naomi our tour guide was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and funny as she guided us (adult and 7yr old kid) through our areas of interest in Kyoto. I'd highly recommend Japan Wonder Travel and Naomi to any and all.

Lovely tour through Kyoto
Lovely tour to two of Kyotos main tourist attractions and a breif walk in the geisha district. Our guide Kenji was very friendly and informative.

Great way to visit Kyoto

Our guide was very knowledgable and helpful. We had some in the family that couldn't handle too much walking, and our guide adjusted our itinerary to make it more comfortable for them. I would recommend that people be prepared to be walking in the hot sun for four hours.

Amazing Tour!
Fuji gave us an amazing tour of Nikishi Market and the Gion area introducing us to local foods and traditions we otherwise would not have known about. We felt very secure about going around Kyoto after our experience and are so grateful to meet Fuji!

Full day private tour of Kyoto with Saeko of Japan Wonder Travel

My family and I enjoyed an 8 hour private tour with Saeko. Saeko was an awesome and knowledgeable tour guide. We went to Kinkaku Ji, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. We packed a lot into our 8 hour tour! We used the subway, bus, tram, and train to get around and Saeko knew the schedules and routes so no time was spent trying to figure out where to go. If we tried to do this by ourselves, we'd be lost! We also ate at an excellent udon restaurant for lunch in Arashiyama. Saeko knew which restaurants to avoid as being too touristy. I highly recommend Japan Wonder Travel and our wonderful guide, Saeko.

Our "Trip of a Lifetime" was thoroughly enhanced by Japan Wonder Travel

We just returned from an amazing trip to Japan enhanced by our tour guide Naomi from Japan Wonder Travel. Over a two day period, we saw everything on our Kyoto list as Naomi skillfully took us around on trains, buses, cabs, and by foot.
This was no small feat as we had a very long list! She was engaging and interesting and added anecdotes and historical color wherever we went. She had excellent recommendations for restaurants and helped us with some shopping choices. Our experience with Japan Wonder Travel was also excellent. I was able to seamlessly book the tour days and they were always responsive when it came to logistics and planning. I had originally booked for March 2020, and although it took three years across a pandemic to come back, my daughter and I truly had the trip of a lifetime!

Best tour and guide - a full amazing day

We did a full day tour with the most beautiful, kind, informative guide, Noriko.

She did a phenomenal job on the day and for weeks prior via emails to ensure we were seeing all the areas we personally wanted. She went above and beyond to ensure our interests were covered. We could not have seen all the sites, especially in one day if it wasn’t for her vast local knowledge. Noriko has perfect English, spoken and written.
She made excellent choices and left us with knowledge we never had and information for the next day to see on our own.

We actually didn’t want the tour to end as we were enjoying her company, our conversations and her information. Best tour, best guide, best communication, it was perfect in every way. Arigatou gozaimasu Noriko-san.

Great customizable tour!

My husband and I were looking for a way to learn more about the significance and history of some of the sites we wanted to visit in Kyoto, and this tour was the perfect way to do that! We liked that we could choose our own itinerary for our 1/2 day. Our guide Yasuna was very friendly and spoke great English. She gave us context and explanations at both sites we visited, and even helped us navigate the bus system around town. Recommended!
