Ken was great and super knowledgeable about all things Gion, Gei-ko, Mai-ko and Kabuki. This was my second time to Kyoto, but my first time on such a tour and learning about the history and context of the area was super informative. He also provided us with some food suggestions as passed by places. Our tour ended with a Mai-ko sighting as well - so icing on the cake. If you find yourself in Kyoto, I would highly recommend going on this tour with Ken.

Nous avons fait cette visite avec le tour opérator Viator. Très déçus. Guide trop rapide, il courait carrément donc pas le temps de découvrir. Le dîner n'était pas fameux. Pas de Gieshas en vue. A oublier.

This is Ken writing from Ken's Tours Kyoto. Thank you for posting your review. I've just saw the review you wrote and would like to hear the details of the review more like what happened to you on the tour and I promise that I improve the tour.
Also wondering if it's about our tour because we offer only private tour and walk depends on customer's walking speed. Also we don't include dinner on the tour so.. thinking you did wrong post by mistake.

Great tour! We had Ted as our tourguide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got explanations about Kabuki, Meikos and Geikos, Shinto and Buddhism and saw some amazing sights. We got lucky and saw an actual Geiko. Highly recommend! Arigato gozaimasu Ted!

My husband and I loved this tour! The best thing about it was the way our tour guide, Ted, provided so much historical information, details, and stories as we walked. He put everything we were seeing into context and really made history come alive. We were hoping to learn more about the traditions and significance of Gion, and we got all that and more. Ted was friendly, spoke great English, and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic time with Ken in Kyoto! The tour was very informative and interesting. The timing was perfect with the sakura bloom! What a beautiful city. Highly recommend.

Wow what an amazing, educational experience. I'm so glad I did this, I learned so so much about Geisha, and culture in Kyoto, and had the most amazing guide, Hiroka-san.

This was one of the highlights of our Japan trip. Ken is super fun to hang out with, speaks perfect English and knows everything about Geisha culture. The area is very cute and we got to admire the architecture see folks in kimonos and even spot a few Geikos in training.

This tour was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Ken was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Geisha culture and the Gion area. My friend, who lived in Japan for 5 years and studied about Japan, was also very impressed with his knowledge. He was able to answer all our questions and more. We got to visit alleyways that isn’t the usual tourist spots and hear stories related to each spot. Ken’s friendliness, positive energy, humor, and storytelling ability made our tour one to remember for a long long time.
