Phillip was a great tour leader. He was very laid back and he demonstrated a true love for the city and its history and culture. He lead us along paths and laneways would not have otherwise seen. I went with my husband and two teens 13, and 14 years. We rode in a group totalling 8 people. We really enjoyed the day. We also enjoyed hopping off the bikes and exploring shrines and gardens on foot in particular Ginkakuji Precinct.

Great tour!! Philippe was amazing, and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to accommodate some oddballs in the group so that everyone could have a great experience. The bike ride was fun, we got to see lots of the city.

Philippe was an awesome guide! So friendly and full of information. Bicycle was a great way to get around Kyoto quickly while also being able to take in plenty of sights; however, we would've been totally lost and not had the confidence to travel the places we went alone — thanks for being our guide, Philippe!
The temple, shrine, and gardens he took us to were positively breathtaking. And the insights he was able to provide just made the visits that much more interesting and special. He was also extremely patient with all of the photos I wanted to take and even took many of me and my husband for us.
An unexpected bonus of having Philippe as our guide was that he is vegetarian and was able to help me find great food options for lunch! He even shared a some of his natto (fermented soybean) sushi with me since I had never tried it before.

Really enjoyed our bike tour of Kyoto with Phillipe. With a smaller group of 8, it felt like a more boutique tour experience. Phillipe is a super interesting guy and incredibly knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history. I thought the tour was a good mix of nature and city and didn’t feel crammed or rushed. My only regret is we didn’t have time to do another tour with him!

What a great way to see such a wonderful city. Phillip is an incredibly knowledgeable guide and he knows all the best routes. We thought it might feel too long, but it was perfectly paced with lots of stops and times off the bike to see sites. Kyoto is perfect for biking and the e-bike option was a nice upgrade. And lunch was wonderful. I highly recommend it!

The guides Philippe, Robin were super nice. However the company overbooked our trip with 13people, which overwhelmed both the guides and the visitors. The overall trip ran overtime, and we had to skip a couple of places. Wish they had separated us into two groups.

This is actually a family trip to Japan with adult children. Half of us went to the bike tour then we got together with same tour guide, Niall who showed us Gion.
It was really fun and pacing is perfect. We would really have time to appreciate the wonderful quaint alley and streets that tradition has preserved in this area. We love Niall!

This tour was the highlight of our 3 days in Kyoto. Our passionate guide Eric was informative, friendly & funny & made the group feel very comfortable. The lunchtime stop was a surprising highlight. Would highly recommend this tour.

This is our second time using this company and definitely will not be our last. Niall was fantastic and customised tours for us. We did a walking tour of the Bamboo Forest followed by a bike tour. We also did seperately a Hiroshima tour. We were a group of ten including young adults and Niall kept everyone entertained and interested. It was an awesome combination of culture, history and fun. Niall really knew his stuff and helped all of us with the many questions and requests we had. He even helped with booking restaurants and transport for us. A must do when you are in Kyoto. Can’t wait for our next trip. Thanks Niall.
