We had a great afternoon riding around Kyoto taking in the local sites. Our guide Yuki, was knowledgeable and fun and kept us all entertained.

Rob from Kyoto Bike Tours took us (a family of four) on a journey through Kyoto both past and present. We had a fascinating conversation about Japanese language and culture, two of his passions, and the time passed in a flash. We packed a lot of sights in: from the monkeys, bamboo forest, the shinto shrines and the kimono forest. The monkeys were great, it was good to see them respected in their habitat. The explanations in the bamboo forest and shinto shrines were amazing. Rob went the extra mile to give us all a great time. Thanks Kyoto Bike Tours, we'll be back!

We had a fantastic afternoon with our family of 5 doing Arashiyama Bamboo forest and monkey park Kyoto bike tour. Our Whole family loved it and Yuki, our guide, had so much knowledge and was lovely to spend the afternoon with. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Yuki, was excellent and gave us great local insights. We were able to see much more than we would have on our own. Would highly recommend.

This was a fantastic bike tour! It was snowing & freezing but so much fun. We were with another like minded family & our guide Yuki was sensational. His knowledge on everything with respect to the tour as well as everything Japanese was very impressive. No questions went unanswered. He also gave us recommendations on other things to do in our time in Japan. Yuki was very personable & we thank him sincerely for a fabulous afternoon! This tour was the first thing we did on our 2 week holiday & was a great start to get to know Kyoto & some of Japan’s fascinating culture!

Tour was excellent, Peter our guide being so accommodating and knowledgeable. The bikes were in excellent condition with wonderful padded seats, and Peter tailored the tour to our interests taking in a special stop to savour the world famous crème brûlée donuts and roasted matcha latte - yum! We also loved the fact Peter took excellent photos and shared at no cost, and gave us awesome restaurant recommendations!

We had an incredible afternoon cycling around Kyoto with Rob. We
loved everything about this tour, Rob was amazing, so interesting and knowledgeable, he taught us so much about the places we visited. Rob had all 5 of us including our kids aged 19, 17 and 13 entertained the whole time. The bikes are great quality and the cycling was easy for all of us. Rob is also an incredible photographer and he took the most beautiful family photos of us that I will always treasure. I recommend this tour as a must do for anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you Rob for making our trip to Kyoto unforgettable.

The bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Kyoto. Yuki was an amazing guide and his knowledge of the history and the places was incredible. Yuki interacted with all the group (adults and kids) and everything was seamless.
The bikes were fantastic and easy to ride, the roads were not too busy with cars, the scenery was spectacular and great to get out of downtown Kyoto. The ride really built up an appetite, bring a few snacks.
Thanks to Yuki for making our day a great one. A must do!

Greetings!
Came across the fantastic review here, I'm planning a trip to Kyoto and looking for interesting tour to Bamboo Forest.
My concern is I'm able to ride but just not very good and pro with it and kind of on a slow pace.
Will it be ok to join the bike trip or should I just go for walking trip?

Hello! We (two of us) are thinking about doing this on October around the 16th. It says that there is an option to rent e-bikes. How much of an upcharge will that be for 2 people? Thank you!
