Having a guide truly made our Kyoto experience amazing! Beyond what I expected. Having a knowledgeable guide took the stress off me and allowed me to really take in every part of the experience! I loved that he took pictures for us too! I rarely get to be in pictures as I’m always the one taking them. What an incredible guide!!

Thank you for sharing a fun time with me that night!! Also now I feel like it was the best timing before many regulations due to Corona virus. I hope we can drink Corona beer together someday again in the US. Cheers!!

Great way to see all the top Kyoto sights in one long day. ...Hotel meet at 0800 getting back around 7.00pm. Start off by 30 minute drive out to Bamboo Forest which is a must see tranquil place to start your day. I chose for the guide to use a car to cram in as much as possible..which worked well but to note it adds 6000 yen extra to cost. Really interesting small shrine (entrance fee payable) with unique headstones before 20 minute walk to Bamboo Forest ..worth a stop. Then after bamboo Forest to golden three level pagoda set in beautiful gardens. Entrance fee payable. Then stopped in main Kyoto shopping area by Daimura department store for lunch in very good quality sushi restaurant..you pay. Then to 10,000 Torri gate shrine..highlight of day but be warned a 12,000 steep step climb to top but with some great viewing points back over Kyoto. Then Chion-in temple, Yasaka Jinga shrine, Kennin-Ji Temple (superb ..birth place of Zenism), then walk all around Gion district and sights, finishing off with early dinner in Pontocho street area (you pay). To be aware however that the £20 plus TripAdvisor price is the hourly price, so with the 6000 yen for the car this was an almost £300 guide cost for the day. There is also an expectation..not made clear in any communication to pay for the guides lunch and dinner as well as your own (a further 8,000 yen...not reasonable when you are paying such a high cost in the first place). Also as stated in the tour advert, this does not include any entrance fees of any of the attractions. So overall a great way to see lots of Kyoto in one day but at a price to be aware of the details of.

Thank you for hiring me this time. I’m sorry about the former communication problem. I explained about guide fee(what is included and what is excluded). However, it was a very long conversation. Therefore I should let you know again one day before. I will improve it in the future. Thank you for hiring me the whole day!!

Very nice tour with Hiroshi, who contacted us some days before and coordinated the highlights of our tour with the guide of our second day in Kyoto. Hiroshi knows all important and historical places of Kyoto. His English is good and he took a lot of pictures, which he sent us later. We enjoyed his recommandation of a typical rolling sushi restaurant, where we got his support to order the right sushi and drinks ...
Hiro picked us up at our hotel and ended the tour at the requested place in time. We enjoyed the tout with him very much!

Thank you for following me in Kyoto. I was impressed by how you enjoyed Japanese history, architecture, and gardens. Hehe, yes, we enjoyed organic sushi!! It was nice to chat with you in many languages. Now I want to learn German history more and more. Keep in touch!! Bis bald!!

Thanks Hiro for the wonderful tour through Kyoto. We saw amazing things and Hiro guided us to the best spots for nice photos and excellent food. Hiro is very friendly and helpful and we were able to ask him everything about Japanese culture, habits and more things. We would highly recommend a tour with him to anyone and look forward to meet him again.

Absolute Friendly and informative guide! Provides Good knowledge about Kyoto and its attractions. Ask him whatever you want and he will give you a Good answer! If you wanna Buy souvenirs he's also very courteous and helps you out. He also knows some good foodie spots!

We booked Hero for our first day in Kyoto and were so pleased we did. He arrived at our door in the morning and was the perfect guide for our family of 5. We visited key sights of our choice and would NEVER have been able to navigate so much in a day without his help.
Basically the day evolved as we wanted it too & was no problem to change plans or stay longer at certain places.
His English was impressive, he was relaxed and friendly and fitted into our “family” perfectly for the day.
I would encourage everyone visiting Kyoto to have Hero guide you. It takes away any uncertainty or stress of navigating the buses & train systems. Plus you get to learn stuff from a local!!

Hiroshi is such an amazing person. He travel a lot in out side of Japan so he can speak fluent English. He is super friendly. He makes you feel commutable to discover the new places.His knowledge is spot on. Highly reccomend.

Hello. Thank you for sending a message. My guiding fee is 4000 yen per hour. So 24000 yen for 6 hours. In addition, you need to pay 3000 yen for travel fee from my place to your hotel in Kyoto. hope to see you!
