Disappointing! Cheap beer tent atmosphere.

We bought tickets as a couple for 127.50 €. This is a proud prize and is already in the area of revues in Paris, London or Berlin (Friedrichstadtpalast). The event started about 40 minutes late. The location in a shopping mall and small theater hall (reminiscent of a school auditorium or small cinema hall) and looks misplaced. The show doesn't really have choreography. The dancers (all a bit plump) are in colorful - cheap to look at costumes. Nothing with samba feeling. Rather cheap fairground teasing. After 15 minutes suddenly 3 busloads of Americans came pouring into the previously almost empty cinema hall. They then ran out after 5 minutes individually to get Caipirinha. There was a beer tent atmosphere. Creepy. We had seen a great tango show in Buenos Aires before, the disappointment at Ginga-Tropical was huge. With 15 minutes to go, we escaped.

Great high performance engaging performance

The performance was very high energy and engaging. The dancers kept the crowd entertained with different styles of dancing. They were very smooth and acrobatics. It was a great experience for the entire family.

Recommend!

This show was wonderful. At the beginning you get a basic samba class, which was fun. Then you get an amazing show which showcases the culture and dance styles from all the Brazil regions. It's a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. The teather is located in a mall, it's quite cold there because of the air conditioning, so bring a cardigan or a jacket.

Fun night out

If you are not in Rio for Carnival then this is a nice way for you to experience a variety of different cultural dances and songs. Before the show starts you are given a short dance class to get you in mood. The performers (dancers, singers and musicians) are all very good at what they do, all done with great passion and skill. At the end you are invited to join and dance on the stage. A great night out.

Engaging and entertaining evening

Engaging and entertaining evening. Uber had no issues dropping off at the mall entrance. Knowing ahead that the theatre was located on the second floor helped. Mall had a few mid to upscale places to eat and also a McD. Narrative was about showcasing the dance, music and arts, from various parts of Brazil. Nicely done.

Good experience

Good high energy show with lots of razzle dazzle. Value spot on. Note the venue is not central and takes 30-40 minutes of travel from the centre.

Yes no order tickets directly!!

After ordering 2 tickets, I only get 1. I didn't receive the ticket automatically, I had to send my proof first so I paid.
I tried to clarify this by email. I didn't even get a response.
Annoying such a thing!! I wrote about Paypal, meanwhile they blocked my account and my bank doesn't get a reply either.
Don't book tickets, there's a demolition and no Customer Service behind it.

High energy show from start to finish showcasing the dance and songs of different regions in Brazil. Lots of interactions with the crowd. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rio.
