La pire expérience de mon existence !!!
Un manque de professionnalisme total, quelqu’un sait fait mordre par une tortue et ils ont absolument rien fais !!!!! Ni désinfecte ni l’aider ni rien !!!!

J’ai lu les avis positifs avant de le rendre dans cet endroit mais maintenant en lisant les avis négatifs je comprends mieux mon expérience ! Nous avons payé 10$ chacun pour entrer dans l’eau avec les tortues (oui on n’a jamais voulu nager, l’eau est trop sale et trop froide, de plus les tortues mordent). Accueil froid, pas d’explications. On vous donne une grosse poignée d’algues à donner aux tortues et on vous laisse là. Malheureusement nous n’avons rien appris sur les tortues ou sur les actions des propriétaires en faveur des tortues. Je pensais faire une bonne action en soutenant une compagnie qui récupère des tortues pêchées, mais en lisant les commentaires négatifs je n’en suis plus si sûre.

My husband and I came here to see the turtles and swim with them. And we loved it!
There were not many people there, so we spent some time. Turtles were many, and they swim around you when you feed them. It’s actually a bit scary when they all surround you, and suddenly a big one is coming from behind. But what an amazing feeling to be so close to these beautiful creatures.
It seems like the turtles were happy and treated well. It wasn’t too expensive either.

I had booked this trip from the UK before I arrived in Zanzibar. Then after reading the negative reviews I was very concerned. However once I arrived at the venue my fears were alleviated. The entry fee is $10 US so its not too expensive and in my opinion its good value for money. It is true that some swimmers have sunscreen on but there are showers there so its the customers at fault not the venue. I found the water to be clear, clean and cold and yes swim shoes are a necessity as the bottom of the pool is rocky.
If customers throw a lot of food into the pool at once then a feeding frenzy does occur but once again this is the tourists fault not the venues. Swimmers do have to be careful not to stand on the turtles but if the simmers are respectful of the animals, do not try and pick them up and feed them carefully and with love this can be a very enjoyable experience for all. The pool is only about 4 ft deep so it is easy for adults to stand up and the pool is huge, so the turtles are free to swim away at any time if they feel uncomfortable. Having experienced this venue once i would not hesitate to visit again.

It is absolutely unthinkable to swim with these creatures in a dirty pond. Your sunscreen and bug repellant and whatever else you picked up on the way has no place in the water where these turtles live. Shame on this company for allowing it and shame on tourists for putting these babies at risk.
Feed and see turtles at the mnarani aquarium and aid in the conservation. It's not perfect either but at least they care about their animals enough to protect them.

Great place to interact with the turtles and feed them.
The entrance fee is 10$ per person. There’s also a restaurant on site but we didn’t try it. It would have been nice if they were sharing information about turtles and their program about helping them and release them, as they claim it’s a rehabilitation center.
Overall I loved the turtles!

Dlho sme sa rozhodovali, či toto miesto navštíviť, vzhľadom na negatívne reakcie niektorých návštevníkov, napokon sme sa ale rozhodli využiť možnosť vidieť korytnačky zblízka a neľutujeme. Návštevu sme naplánovali na čas prílivu podľa odporúčaní. Šli sme sem okolo obeda, takže nebolo až tak plno. Kto má rád korytnačky, určite to pre neho bude zážitok. Dostali sme za hrsť rias, ktorými sme mohli korytnačky kŕmiť, samé ku nám plávali a kŕmili sa. Bol to veľký zážitok vidieť ich takto zblízka a môcť sa ich dotknúť či zaplávať si s nimi. Aj keď to plávanie je trochu komplikované v prípade, že beriete ohľad na korytnačky, tak treba plávať opatrne, aby ste do nich nekopli nohami. Voda nebola tak čistá, ako v oceáne, ale to je asi pochopiteľné, keďže tam žije niekoľko pomerne veľkých korytnačiek, nebolo to však nič strašné. Bolo by super, keby rodičia svojim deťom viac dohovorili, že nie je potrebné robiť hluk a robiť si z korytnačiek plavidlo alebo sedačku, občas sme videli, že deti sa tam pokúšali o všeličo aj robili dosť veľký hluk, ale sedel tam chlapík (zamestnanec), ktorý ich na takéto správanie upozorňoval, že to nemôžu. Takže ak bolo na návšteve niečo negatívne, boli to práve ľudia, ktorí sa nevedeli správať.
Čo by mohlo akvárium zlepšiť sú sprchy, lebo veľmi sa nedalo osprchovať po vyjdení z vody, keďže voda zo spŕch tiekla len veľmi slabo. Inak to bol veľký zážitok, na ktorý budeme radi spomínať.

Ever since my kids learnerd that one can swim with turtles they wanted to do it.Took them one fine cloudy day.They kids choose to swim and I chose to feed.The pond is full of turtles and they sense human presence and come even before one enters the water.Yes,there were lots of people and many like me taking photos probably for socila media but saw no one being crude enough to grab or pick .People did pat and swan around from one corner to other.
The kids had amazing time and list it as one of their best experience of Zanzibar.

Un joli coin où l’on peut nourrir des tortues de mer, nager avec, et pour un prix raisonnable. Une expérience sympa.
Cependant, je reste sceptique sur le fait que ce soit de l’eau de mer naturelle et des tortues apportées par les pêcheurs...
