super fun tour with great learning, great guides!
Got to each some pineapple right in the field!
Everyone gets a pineapple at the end - so so good.
There were 4 of us...so we had pineapple daily for our entire trip!
Then bought 4 more on day of departure to take home.

Great tour

It was very interesting to learn how the farm operates! Our tour guide was great and very funny which made our experience amazing! My husband said he will never look a a pineapple the same after learning about how they grow! We were able to taste them and it was the best pineapple I’ve had!

Great experience!! My husband was skeptical, but went along with me. Funny thing he loved it!! It was excellent , lots of information about the growing and harvesting of pineapples. Then got 2 pineapples in a travel box to take home. We enjoyed it tremendously and I highly recommend it!!

Maui Pineapple tour a must on Maui

I have know other family members that completed this tour. We signed up on our last trip to Maui and it did not disappoint. Very interesting to learn all about the Pineapple. The tickets are a bit expense but when you find out that it helps support the overall operations of the last pineapple plantation on Maui it was worth it. Our Driver Moe was great and very informative. We got to taste a pineapple out in the field and at the end of the tour we got to take one home per person.

Go towards end of trip

Pineapples need to be eaten within a week so go towards the end of your trip. Our tour guide was amazing. Seeing the different stages of pineapples in the field was neat, but still feel tour was overpriced. We were able to by pineapples for $7 at a farmers market and get the box.

Gold Pineapples, Golden Tour

Stumbled on this tour as I was exploring the outskirts of Makawao. Was actually searching for a distillery on the same property, and began a conversation with what turned out to be our tour guide. He talked me into the tour and I'm glad I signed up. Had time to kill, so visited the glass studio on the same property - Makai Glass (magnificent blown glass pieces), and browsed the gift shop. Tours are also offered here for the Haliimaile Distilling Company. On our pineapple tour, we were driven across the road to the pineapple fields. We were taken to a section of new plantings and got to try freshly cut chunks of the famous Maui Gold pineapple in the fields. We learned about the history of the pineapple, how to plant one at home yourself, the different stages of growth and much more. Next we were driven to a section where the plants were at small baby pineapple growth, and then we went to a section of full growth pineapples that were set to be harvested the following week. Our guide took pictures of all the guests individually which were emailed to us for download, and also offered to take pictures using each guest's phone if they wished. While on our tour, it started to lightly rain in the field, and by the time we drove down to the processing center, it was pouring. One of my first big Maui rainfalls. Our tour ended with each person getting a box with two Maui Golds inside to take home. Finally our guide suggested heading across the road to the Hali'Maile General Store for their Pineapple Upside Down cake, which I did, and it was magnificent :)

Good tour, better pineapple!!!

Tour was nice and informative with good photo ops. Best part was the pineapple!! I recommend the tour, but at a minimum; try the pineapple. It is a much sweeter than the type you normally get in the grocery stores. I brought one home and shared with the family. Two of which said they didn't like pineapple, but made a quick dash to get a second piece after trying a Maui Gold.
