- fumikoa39300サファリボートに乗って間近に見たクロコダイルの目力は凄かった！パナマ運河を越えてコスタリカ沿岸の港から4時間余りの観光に出かけました。野生動物の宝庫として知られるコスタリカの野生動物観察はワクワク体験でした。
- アールくん00CrocodileとMacaw(コンゴウインコ）と。。。クルーズ船の寄港地プンタレナスからツアーに参加して行きました。20人くらいでボートに乗りまず川を上って行きます。操縦士兼ガイドさんとツアーのガイドさんがワニや鳥、イグアナなど見つけると、あちらこちら指さしながら教えてくれます。乗客も負けじと目を凝らし「あの鳥は何？」とか「baby crocodile,,」（30㎝ほどでも2歳くらいらしい、、）などワイワイ大盛り上がり。ボート間の連携もあり巨大ワニも見ることができました。巨大ワニは数頭いて、すべてメスで名前も付いており各自テリトリーがあるらしいです。「オーサマ、、」とか言っているので「王様かぁ」と感心していたけど「いやいや日本語のわけないでしょ！」実際の名前は、、是非現地で確認してみてください。鳥もたくさん見ることができました。とても素晴らしかったのは「Macaw」のつがいを見ることができたことです。ちょうど見晴らしの良い木のてっぺん付近にいたので肉眼でも良く見えました。さらに双眼鏡を貸してくれたので鮮やかな羽の色、長い尾羽など間近に見ているようで感動しました。そのうち彼らは飛び去って行きましたが、あんなに大きな色鮮やかな鳥が、自然の中を飛んでいるなんて信じられないような思いでした。さらにボートは河口付近まで下り岸で甲羅干し？しているワニたちを見て戻りました。思った以上にたっぷり時間をかけた充実したボートツアーでした。戻るとジュースや果物などで小休憩できます。大満足です。

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for BIRDERS. !!!We went twice with this company for private bird photography boat trip. Visit 1 was when tide was coming back in and visit 2 (a few days later, en route back ti San Jose), was during low tide. The facilities (land—accessible dock for mobility accommodation), restrooms, refreshment station) was excellent. We booked custom time/trip using WhatsApp. They have a large fleet and staff and so was able to meet our scheduling needs (based on travel and on tide).
Our guide was Juan Carlos—highly knowledgeable!! He was able to help us find, identify, and get great angles to photograph the birds. Ask for him as a guide!
Trip 1 went up river into the lagoon (all the herons and egret sp. in the area, whistling ducks, lapwings, spoonbills, stilts, etc), then the river mouth with multiple gull sp., terns, plovers and other peeps, then mangrove for the warblers, antshrike, hummingbirds, kingfishers etc. Juan Carlos took great care to get good angles while not disturbing the birds, helped us find the hard ones in the canopy. 55 species
Loved it so much to return for a second trip to do just the lagoon and spend more time in the mangroves for the warblers, hummingbirds, kingfishers, tanager, shrikes. 53 species

Hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Wir haben viele Krokodile aus nächster Nähe gesehen und sehr sachkundige Erklärungen erhalten. Allerdings hatten wir auch den Vorteil, dass wir alleine auf dem Schiff waren und somit eine Privattour genießen konnten. Das war sicher ein großer Vorteil.

Absolutely amazing tour, Juan Carlos was our driver. 60 species of birds in under 2 hours!!!! Highly recommend!

Croc tour was AMAZING !!! Gustavo was an excellent tour guide !! He was very knowledgeable & funny. Great for bird lovers. Would definitely recommend this tour. Worth the money !!

The guide was amazing. We were able to get ridiculously good looks at huge crocodiles. The birds and other wildlife were icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

We had a great 3-hour birding tour with Juan Carlos. We saw a ton of amazing local species, including several targets that Juan Carlos found and identified for us. Hanzel was great at helping us book and accommodating our tight schedule. This is a great company, we recommend them to anyone wanting to see the birds of Tárcoles.

My husband and I did a private river cruise with a very knowledgeable guide/driver .We were given a pamphlet with all the birds we were likely to see which was very useful. The river is known for the American crocodiles and we saw a number including “Captain Hook “ but the highlights were the huge variety of birds and reptiles which were pointed out by our excellent guide. The river trip was interesting seeing the various types of vegetation including the mangroves. The trip included a traditional Costa Rican meal. The whole experience was fantastic.

My family agreed this was our favorite experience in Costa Rica. Our guide was so knowledgeable & friendly! We saw amazing wildlife and scenery. Definitely recommend!!

Excellent tour over the Tracoles river. Saw lots of crocodiles and birds, the guide was fun and knowledgeable, and her ever knows the crocodiles by names, and the names of the birds in Hebrew. Fun tour!

Schönr Tour auf dem Tarcolesfluss und den Mangroven der Mündung.Viele Vogelsichtungen. Um Krokodile zu sehen fuhren wir bis zur Krokodilbrücke hoch.

Can we book this and meet at the meeting location if we are staying a nearby hotel and not coming from a cruise?

You do not need to be booked on a cruise line. Assuming you have transportation, the river cruise terminal is very accessible by good roads and details are available on the website. There is ample parking. The river cruises go at 08:30,10:30, 13:30 and 15:30 and ours very well narrated and we saw an abundance of reptilian and avian wildlife although that is not guaranteed as an absolute certainty by the company. Based on our experience, we highly recommend this tour.
The boats are covered with a canopy but sunscreen is still a good idea as there is some sun exposure and mosquitoes were not a problem on the day we were there - you might want to check on that in advance but normally they come out at night and are a bit more prevalent on cloudy days but repellent is a good thing to have handy just in case..
