We had the chance to do the night out Mont<>Tombelaine in a very small group, as in V.I.P. This allowed us to have an ongoing interaction with Romain who made us share his passion for the place and discover all the secrets of the bay (including seal tracks in the sediment in the middle of the night!). The nocturnal formula with picnic on Tombaine and night return to Mount is simply...magical! We're walking on water. To do absolutely!

Bad experience with this gentleman, be careful what arrangements you make with these people!
We had a visit booked in the Bay of Mont Saint Michel during low tide in the late afternoon. Around 12:00 it started raining heavily and our Guide tried to contact Mr. Pillon by text, phone call and email to inform him that, given the poor weather situation, we would have to give up the excursion.
Mr. Pillon was careful not to answer our texts, emails and phone calls. He preferred to ignore our communications, let the time of the hypothetical excursion elapse and then report to the hotel to demand payment of the full amount, despite the fact that we had canceled well in advance, tried to communicate it to him in every way and there was no contract that provided for specific penalties.
On top of that, Mr. Pillon probably contacted the Vert Hotel in Mont Saint Michel by phone to find out where we were staying. Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager, violating our privacy, probably provided our private data and room numbers, allowing Mr. Pillon to call the manager in the room and find us in the lobby, angry that, according to him, we had not shown up for the excursion.
Asking the hotel for explanations regarding the privacy breach was futile: the staff stonewalled, denied their involvement and complied with the Guide's requests instead of protecting their customers. As far as Mr Pillon was concerned, the agreements made did not provide for a penalty for surrender, which had, moreover, been made well in advance. We showed him the texts and emails and offered to pay him half the service for the inconvenience anyway.
In Response, Mr. Pillon stated that he was arbitrarily deciding the terms of the penalty and demanded payment of the full amount, otherwise he would Locked us out of the hotel and blacklisted us from emails with all merchants in the area.
Faced with these threats, we asked the hotel manager to call the police, but he washed his hands of them and told us: "call it yourself". So, while we were on the street, we saw Mr. Pillon following us with four Gendarmerie policemen, as if we were fleeing thieves.
We stopped, provided our credentials and explained the whole situation, showing the emails and messages. Fortunately, we found competent people who pointed out to Mr. Pillon that his behavior was absolutely incorrect, that he was wrong and that he could not demand payment for anything without a contract. Also, they pointed out that we had also been too nice by offering to pay half the service for the trouble anyway.
I hope and hope that what happened to us is only an isolated case and that this person has reflected on his behavior, learning that in any work seriousness and intellectual honesty are fundamental. It is unacceptable to impose a penalty for the entire sum without well-defined contractual terms, and to behave in a presumptuous manner in these situations is only harmful and risks appearing ridiculous.

Très belle visite de la baie du Mont-Saint-Michel, agrémentée de commentaires aussi drôles qu’interessants. Romain nous a fait découvrir l’histoire, la faune et les particularités du lieux : phoques, sables mouvants, bancs de poissons sauteurs, histoire de la baie et du mont. Nos enfants de 11 et 14 ans ont adorés. Nous aussi. Merci pour ce bon moment !

Nous avons adoré la visite de Romain. C’est un guide très intéressant et très drôle qui suscite l’intérêt par une interaction constante avec son public ! Isabelle et Olivier Ambrosiali ( le couple en bottes qui ne s’est pas ensablé!!!!)

nous avons réservé une traversée lors des grandes marées de septembre 2021 avec Romain Pilon et nous avons passé un super moment. En plus de son humour décapant cet homme sait et connait tout ce qui concerne la baie du mont....nous espérerions une expérience unique en choisissant la venue de la marée ainsi que du fameux mascaret, nous n'avons pas été déçus , c'est vraiment à faire car la puissance de cette petite vague est incroyable . Nous recommandons
