We visited here driving through with no reservation. The team were very welcoming and accomodating. While they couldn’t sit us down for a full tasting, they did offer us to buy a bottle and sit and take in their beautiful location. We felt like the luckiest couple ever. The wine was beautiful, location was stunning. Highly recommend you make a reservation so that you can experience all they have to offer. While they were well in their right to turn us away, we are ever so grateful that we had the opportunity to make some great memories here.

What an amazing wine and food tasting experience! Francesco provided us with a memorable and insightful explanation of the Etna region and its unique wines. His passion and knowledge truly enhanced our appreciation of the local offerings. The pairings were exceptional, perfectly showcasing the flavors of the wines alongside delicious dishes. This experience is a must-do when visiting the region; it was a highlight of our trip and left us with lasting memories. Highly recommended!

One of the best tasting experiences ever had, if not the best.
We were introduced to the Etna wine world by the super competent and friendly Giuseppe Fiorito, who accompanied us throughout the tasting, giving us a lot of information, really helping us to understand and dissect the terroir of the area.
Very high quality wines and truly exceptional and centered paired food.
A 360° experience, highly recommended.
We will return when we are in the area.

Visiting Benanti Vineyards was an amazing experience. I am not a big wine drinker and I went as part of a tour, but I have to say a greatly enjoyed this visit. Benanti is a beautiful place and the tour is most enjoyable. Not only do you get to try some wine, but you have lunch and the food is amazing! If you are not a big wine drinker you will thoroughly enjoy their wonderful cuisine and beautiful surroundings. It is a great place to take outdoor pictures and relax and enjoy. Great tour.

Wonderful experience! We did not have a reservation but they gave us a glass of wine an arranged a tasting of 5 wines paired with lunch!

Benanti winery has gorgeous historic buildings on the most beautiful grounds. We attended a two hour tour that included gourmet delicacies and gourmet they were! We are also vegetarian and they gladly accommodated our preference.
Our tour consisted of five wine tastings with food pairings, two whites and three reds. The snack with each wine was wonderful! We saw the grounds, the vineyards, and the wine cellar.
A truly enjoyable experience we highly recommend.

Descending from Etna, we hoped to have a pleasant time tasting some wines. What a disappointment when we arrived!! A pitiful welcome from a classless shrew. And we left immediately before my reaction was no longer salvageable...

Around how much is the taxi fare to benanti winery if we are staying close to the port?

I don't have any way to answer your question, as we were on a Road-Scholar tour which took us to the Winery. We did not hire a taxi to go there.

Hi, we (2) are visiting Catania in April 2019 and are thinking of visiting Benanti Winery. How do we get to the winery from Catania and return without having to drive for a reasonable price? We have 22, 23 or 24 April available for the visit.
I notice that a visit includes both a tasting and brunch. what is the price?

1) Check availability with the winery first; it is a working vineyard, and sometimes they need to close for work
2) Best would be Uber or an arranged driver, as the property is quite a ways out of Catania, and outside of the town of Viagrande
3) Prices are on their webiste. Not cheap, but we found the price worth it for the tour and tasting.

Hello, my wife and I plan on touring Mount Etna and then stopping by a couple of vineyards on our way to Taormina. One of those vineyards is Benanti. Are we able to visit Benanti for a tasting and then buy some wine or do we need to reserve before we arrive?
We don't plan on having lunch.

I was also there on an organized tour, so I can't really speak to your specific questions. But I can vouch for the quality of the wine -- top notch -- and the friendliness of the staff. Definitely worth a stop. Enjoy your trip.

I would encourage you to contact them directly to try to arrange this, as this is not something most places in Italy do. Generally restaurant only operate starting at noon.
