We were staying on the island and wanted to check this place out (by land since we had went once on an excursion many years ago). There's plenty of places to sit under shade and places to walk around. They also have restrooms there too.
The name does not disappoint! You will find starfish everywhere in the water all around the area.
If you want to see starfish in their natural habitat, this is the place for you.

We drove here vs taking a tour boat/guide. It wasn’t what I had expected but still nice.
I expected to see a ton of starfish, but they were sporadic, it could have been the time of year we visited.
The was was beautiful and felt great.

We stopped here on our driving tour of the island. It lives up to its name. We immediately found two large starfish that we could pick up. We spent about 20 minutes here. Wear water shoes. Great spot for little kids as the water is calm and shallow.

If you have young kids, this is a great spot to bring them. This is a very good spot to get some photos of everyone enjoying the water & some of the sea life. It is very shallow water, so young children should be plenty safe.
This was part of a tour that we paid for & I believe that will be the case for everyone. For us the package had three stops… stingrays, the reef, then the starfish.

Visited as part of a boat tour. Anchored and spent about 30 minutes in the shallow water which was plenty of time to see about a half dozen starfish. I guess I was expecting to be walking around and doing my best to avoid stepping on them, which was definitely NOT the case. It was neat handling them (don't lift them out of the water), but it was more of a "visit if you're in the area, but don't pay or go out of your way for" type experience.

We arrived early and saw 6 or 7 starfish in about 30 minutes.
Most were a bright orange or reddish color and 2 were more neutral colored.

Disappointed with this experience. Shallow water with a couple of star fish, lots of jelly fish and my son and I got badly bitten/stung by something in the water

Had a wonderful experience seeing multiple starfish! There were many boats coming to park, but there was quite a bit of area you could not be near them. We enjoyed it!

Cruise ships are generally at all the tourist spots Monday thru Thurs., 9-3 and occasionally on Fridays. I would visit Starfish Point on a weekend and have the beach to yourself:)

The island bus runs to that side of island also and runs often just make sure you take the route through mid island not all way round use Frank Sound rd it is shortest route. Go early to make it back to cruise ship return time. go with intention of walking into water star fish are not always right in the shallows no shoes needed soft bottom area in water

No- it is a public beach and you just walk into knee deep water; soft sandy bottom. It is just past Rum Point at the very tip.

No we didn't book a tour. My husband and I just entered Star Fish Point. Anyone can visit for free. There was a tour being conducted further into the ocean.
Hello, glad to hear Starfish point was worth the trip! I was wondering if you could tell me how you got there? I'm staying on seven mile beach and have no plans to rent a car. Do you know if cabs go there and how much that would cost?

It is just past Rum Point, before Kaibo Beach. Easy to miss, if you ask someone at Rum Point they gave us great directions. Enjoy!

It's such a secluded little area that I don't think so. You may wish to hire a cab to bring you there and back with a stop at Rum Point as well? Depending on how much time you have.
