The site is peaceful as it is Impressive in size and stature. The Limestone monument is Located in beautiful green space/park with a walk about area featuring historic plaques, statues and points of interest. Benches and seating are situated for viewing the surrounding Niagara/Lewiston area. Quite insightful. Well kept. Parking available. Recommend.

Not sure what days its open but we were their in October during the anniversary weekend of the Battle of Queenston Heights so they had it open and manned by period costumed attendants who really knew their history. Its a decent climb to the top and very narrow spiral stairs so might not be best for someone that's claustrophobic but otherwise totally worth it for the great 360 views at the top.

This may be the quietest beauty spot on The Niagara Peninsula. The restaurant has great food, ambience and atmosphere. Enjoy!

The monument is worth a stop if you have time, there are some interesting history items there along with a native remembrance wall. I found the $4.50 to go to viewing area a little high. There are some nice walks in the grounds. There is restaurant but unfortunately it was only open on Sundays for brunch.

Nous ne savions pas que nous pouvions visiter l'intérieur du monument. Nous avons monté les 235 marches intérieures du monument ($4.50 par personnes) pour accéder à la petite plate-forme d'observation. Les escaliers sont vraiment étroits et très abrupts. Pour accéder à la plate-forme les grandes personnes doivent faire attention pour ne pas se cogner la tête... Le point de vue est intéressant mais semblable à ce que l'on voit d'en bas. C'est plus le plaisir de visiter un tel endroit et voir que les gens de l'époque étaient pas mal plus petit. Les épaules me frottaient sur les murs et la partie centrale de l'escalier. Le monument lui même est beau et intéressant. L'entrée à la base du monument est gratuite.

We stopped here and the area is gorgeous, the views are lovely, and the. monument is tall. My 10 year old wanted to go to the top of Brock's Monument....which you can do for like $4.50. Listen....I'm a pretty adventurous and active woman. A 65 year old women did it before me...so I thought okay no problem. 250 some stairs....okay no big deal. That spiral staircase was tight and I mean tight. Straight up, spiral...enough to make you dizzy. The stairs were tiny and the higher you got the stairs seemed smaller and the space tighter. The viewing area was hardly big enough for the three of us in our party. Not much scares me, but I was terrified. I took some pics and then went for the climb down. The handrail on the left, the bigger part of the steps on the right....I held on for dear life going down...one step at a time...shaking, sweating, and praying the entire way down. I collapsed in the grass under a shade tree on my back. Definitely a memory I won't forget. It's a one and done experience for me.

We cycled up From Fort Erie to Niagara on the lakes. This was an interesting stop along the way. With my last Name Brock, I had to see the story

Sir Isaac Brock will forever be associated with the Battle of Queenston Heights. His monumental mausoleum can be seen from afar. Informed American troops had taken a redan, a clifftop gun emplacement, at Queenston Heights, he led a counterattack to retake it. His valiant--but foolhardy--charge led to his death, well before the eventual American surrender to Major General Roger Hale Sheaffe. Brock's body was moved in 1824 under an imposing monument, destroyed in 1840. The present monument dates from 1853. There is good information inside the base. If you don't mind a bit of head spinning, you can climb toward the top, affording a view of the Niagara River.

The magnificence of this monument reminded me of the grandeur of the pillars at the Egyptian temples - it soars into the sky, beautifully formed and carved.
There is a bike path or you can go by car (paid parking) - it’s close to the town of Niagara on the Canadian side and is a tribute to the heroes of the war of 1812.
