La cascade de pliva se trouve à l’entrée de la joli petite ville de Jajce .
Hors saison c’est très agréable de s’y promener sans la foule estivale , une fois sur place elle est assez impressionnante .
De belles chutes d’eau à admirer .
Profitez en pour aller flâner dans la vieille de Jajce qui vaut l’or coup d’oeil .

Jajce is very picturesque little town situated in central Bosnia. It is carved out of stone and chosen by old Kings and rulers as the place to build one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Jajce waterfall is very unique, not because it is largest or tallest waterfall, but because it is located in the centre core of Jajce and because it is the place where two rivers meet. Pliva river flows into river Verbs by jumping 24 meters down into a small pound. Jajce waterfall with town in the background is and was often the most shown and recognizable images of Bosnia and former Yugoslavia. Place where old Romans settled while conquering old Kingdoms, place of medieval Kings, Ottoman rulers and Jugoslav state roots. Legend tells that a tunnel was dug all the way from top of Jajce fortress down to Jace waterfall where cave system was behind the falls. The cave system was blocked by permanent structure build in early 2000. This is a location you need to visit while traveling to Bosnia. You will be stunned by its beauty and be careful, you might fall in love with this place.

This is one of the most beautiful and surprising places in Bosnia and Hercegovina. A huge waterfall next to the… bus station. We took a bus from Banja Luka to Jajce and the waterfall was literally a couple of minutes’ walk from the bus terminal. The waterfall is huge, the water has emerald colour. The town of Jajce is stunning, too - we spent a whole day there, just wandering around and admiring the beautiful Nature. There’re still some signs of the Balkan war - bullet holes in residential buildings… So sad to see, it was like a bittersweet experience however, the beauty of Nature, the most gorgeous road from Banja Luka to Jajce (it leads through a valley, next to rivers, lakes and mountains were so rewarding, it was a massive pleasure to visit that town.

The waterfall itself is beautiful.
But the bad review is here for whoever is in charge of taking care of this attraction. The filth in the waterfall pool is horrible. There is plastic you can fill a truck with down there.
What exactly is the entrance charge for the waterfall area for if they can't even be bothered to keep it clean?
It's shamefull, the way a natural resource is polluted. As well as taking money from tourists to see it and not even bothering to use some of that money to clean it.

I envy the people of Jajce for having such a lovely waterfall right in the middle of the town. You see it from distance ,you see it from above and you can get closer - Great!!

If you are in town, this waterfall is an absolute must visit. Very picturesque. You can access views from multiple points.

Nice waterfall. You can see rainbow forming from the water drops. We enjoyed the view very much. There is fee to watch from below and you can see also from the top for free.

Av de vattenfall vi såg på denna resa kanske inte detta hörde till de mest intressanta. Det är ganska högt och brett, men det ligger också i samhället och omgivningen är fin men inte bedårande. Jag föredrar när vattenfallen ligger i naturen. Går man ner till plattformen framför vattenfallet så kostar det en mindre peng, men då kan man också uppleva aerosolen, vilken måste vara skönt de hetaste dagarna på året. När det är lite kallare väder känns det dock mest blött och lite jobbigt.

there are 3 different viewpoints for Pliva Waterfalls
the first and most common is from the elevated road next to the TiOil gas station. there are a couple of souvenir stalls here. this option is free
the second option gets you up close and personal with the falls. fee is 8 BAM. you drive or walk down a small road next to the TiOil gas station . after passing the ticket booth, you will be at a wet concrete platform. you will encounter the splash from the falls here so be careful with your electronics.
but neither of the above two options give you the postcard view of Jacje that you see on the internet. for this third option, you need to drive or walk to this spot (44.33849492020553, 17.273043372384656). once you are there, there is a small trail on your left (when looking at the fortress) where you can take towards a hut. this is also the start point for the zipline adventure over the falls. this option is the best - best view and cost 0 BAM.
