Definitely wheelchairs access, they do have glass lift to take you to upper levels, however on the day we went, the glass lift wasn't working later during the day because someone was being silly with the lift - so in this situation, I have no clue if they do have a backup plan, for example, you're already in the upper level, how do you get down when it's the lift is not in working order? Best to contact MONA directly and ask them if they do have a backup plan? In short, "yes" it's wheelchair friendly.

Personally I wouldn’t take my children if they were this age. Some of the art is disturbing and not suitable for such an impressionable age. The ‘Museum of Everything’ is fantastic as one mentioned, however you need to use the headphones and listen to the narrative to fully understand what you’re looking at, and when it takes 2 1/2 hours to venture through this properly, is an 8 year old going to do this? There are some exhibits that are still on my mind some 6 years after seeing them, search ‘The Painter’ by Paul McCarthy. You can do both without price doubling but ferry beats bus hands down The sightseeing on ferry is amazing and adds an extra adventure to the day A bus ride is a little ho hum If you go by ferry you can upgrade to Posh Pit and if you're One of the first twelve people to book you can also request a complimentary winery tour ticket which includes a half-hour private introduction to Moorilla , which is Monas winery and includes wine tastings

on line didn't work. went to desk day before no problem finding r posh pit. due to holidays I would go to desk day days before just to have ticket in hand. but that is me. posh pit only a f you can down champagne in 20 minutes otherwise go the top deck. Stay away from wine. not nice and skip wine tour. loved my semi if everything. have fun

Mona is pram friendly . A beautiful grassed area to sit, ideal for a young one to play on while you enjoy a drink or food. There are steps leading up from the ferry , you might want to enquire if there is a lift as I'm unsure . Ferry is very modern & staff are willing to assist if help needed . Hope you enjoy your visit , it's a beautiful place
