予定外のフラットメイトとのデートに来て、近くの新しい場所、素晴らしいサービスと品揃えの素晴らしいリラックスした雰囲気を試してみようと考えました

なんて素晴らしい場所でしょう。私たちはとても長い散歩をして、この近くにたどり着いたので、遅めの昼食をとることにしました。時間に余裕を持って作り、特別価格のメニューを食べることができました。私たちは両方とも非常に大きなハンバーガーと最もおいしいチップスを食べました。スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで、ほとんどの顧客を知っているようでした。私は間違いなくここに再び電話します。ボーナスであるバス停にも非常に近いです。

Great little pub

What a fab place. We had been on a very long walk and ended up near here, so we decided to call in for a late lunch. We just made it with minutes to spare and were able to eat from the special price menu. We both had burgers, which were very big, and the most delicious chips. Staff were very friendly and seemed to know most of the clientele. I would definitely call here again. Its also very close to the bus station which is a bonus.

Best fish n chips ever

I have been to England 26 times since 2005, and I've had plenty of fish n chips. This was, hands down - and surprisingly - the best fish n chips I have ever had.

Disappointing

Beer was good but food very poor. I had great hopes when the food took half an hour to arrive, thinking a lot was going into the preparation. But the Hunters Chicken turned out to be a rather salty tasting, very dry piece of chicken breast with a rasher of bacon on top, served with chips and peas. I had expected some kind of sauce with it at least.

Great welcoming experience.

Visited this quaint old pub for the first time last Fri 20th Jan.

I was most impressed with both the service at the bar and the dinner too.

I ordered the sausage & mash with peas & gravy, and at a cost of £7.95 I thought this to be good value.

Thanks to Josh behind the bar, and the chef too for making my visit most worthwhile.

Great pub for pint or meal

Really love this place. Exactly what a 'pub' should be - a warm welcoming environment serving decent food and drink, just a friendly quality establishment that you can rely on time and time again. Great beers and tasty pub food. The Sunday roast was expertly cooked and my wife's Fish & Chips was delicious - light batter accompanied by perfect chunky chips. We'll be back for the Cheese Cake!
Would definitely recommend for a pint or meal.

Genuine Tudor Pub in heart of Sheffield

Oldest pub in Sheffield. Tudor. Original beams and fireplace
Food excellent. I had the sausages in a huge Yorkshire pudding with peas - v yummy and I was able to request nothing added to my mash! (I don’t like cream)
My boyfriend had scampi and chips with mushy peas. He’s from Yorkshire and said it was Right nice and mushy peas were done right !
Local ales and great coffee stout
Staff v friendly and helpful - told us where we could go for some rock music.

Fast and friendly service! Great for someone with limited budget! Will come back for sure soon! Place looks from outside, well say it in this words, never judge a book by its cover, otherwise you might miss out great places! Give it a try!

me and my son with autism popped in on Saturday 11th June before we caught our bus back to Mansfield, the staff were very polite and pleasant, a unusual building from then outside, my son loved the pub dog. The drinks were nice

an unexpected pleasure to be back here

not been for years, last time it had rather a modern interior. now restored very nicely to an Elizabethan look inside. lovely large rooms, no loud music, big tables and comfortable chairs. good range of beers, not expensive, and wonderful food. - freshly made pizza was excellent, they do burgers, fish and chips, and one of our party was ecstatic about the beef goulash ( they do Czech specialities) they have an excellent menu with unexpected items like that. - something for everyone and all warmly recommended. we had a really fun early evening, the place was busy but plenty of room round us, staff were good, and cleared promptly. an unexpected pleasure and definitely added on our list to return to soon. even sleet and cold outside didnt matter! they have a smallish beer garden out the back and some outside tables which didn't quite tempt us just now, but might later in year .
