Io e mio marito abbiamo partecipato alla degustazione guidata di sei vini italiani. Maurizio ha messo subito i suoi ospiti a proprio agio e creato un’atmosfera conviviale, insegnando le basi della degustazione a dei veri neofiti coinvolgendoci, senza mai accentuare l’inesperienza dei presenti. Ci piacerebbe ritornare per approfondire ancora di più la nostra conoscenza dei vini e dei loro abbinamenti col cibo. La cantina è una vera chicca, da vedere!

We had a fantastic time. Maurizio was very knowledgeable and able to go through the tasting in a way that was enjoyable to the more seasoned wine tasters in our group and those who had never done a tasting before. I highly recommend this visit.

I'm 73 years old and I've done many, many wine tastings. The VinoRoma Wine Studio & Social Club tasting was among the very best tasting experiences of my life. Very good and interesting Italian wines and expert guidance through the evening. A most satisfying experience.

Once again, we loved our experience with Maurizio! The reason I say once again is that this is the 3rd experience we've had with Maurizio, including a food tour in the pre-pandemic days. For our most recent experiences over the past month, Maurizio gave us a great food tour of the Trianfale neighborhood and then on another day we went to his studio for a wine & cheese dinner.
He had quite a selection of food prepared, each paired with the wines we were going to try. While we didn't love all of the wines (after all, isn't the point of wine tasting? to find out which ones you love or not love?), we learned a lot about the wine making process along the way. In particular, none of us had ever known about what "additives" are in wine but never mentioned on the bottle.
So, we highly recommend getting together with Maurizio when in Rome - you won't be disappointed.

The wines Maurizio chose were all excellent, a range spanning from north to south and a great introduction to Italian wine. I’m not exactly a beginner but not a pro either, the tasting was pitched perfectly for me, and Maurizio has a fount of knowledge if you do have questions. It’s also timed well, 5-7pm so you can sit and relax after say time activity, before supper. Perfect! Recommend without hesitation.

We had an amazing 3 hour culinary walking tour in the historic district in Rome, led by Maurizio of VinoRoma Wine Studio and Social Club. Maurizio provided us a personalized tour focussed on the great tastes of the area while highlighting details of the history. A very enjoyable day. I would recommend Maurizio if you're looking for a wonderfully well rounded experience.

Maurizio took us on a tour of Testaccio Market and the surrounding neighborhood and we had the MOST AMAZING time. He's really funny, kind and full of historic facts about the city. We ate the best pizza of our lives and adored the entire tour. Would 100% book with him again next time I'm in Rome.

In August 2022, my husband and I did the Trinofale neighborhood food tour with Maurizio. We spent several hours exploring the neighborhood and its food gems - including Roman pastries, pizza, wines, and the most exquisite mozzarella we have ever tasted. It was a wonderful introduction to Roman cuisine and Maurizio was an excellent guide and supremely knowledgeable. Two days later we went to a wine tasting at the Wine Studio and enjoyed several delicious wines. We later had dinner nearby at one of the restaurants recommended by Maurizio and then while still in Rome, had dinner at another of his recommendations. All were excellent. The food tour, the wine tasting, and these restaurants were all top highlights of our five days in Rome. We learned a lot about food, wine, and Rome and enjoyed it all very much!

This was a fantastic tasting. The wines and service were top notch. The studio is very comfortable and Maurizio was extremely knowledgeable. We have done tastings all over the world and this was by far one of the best. If you are in Rome and enjoy wine this is worth the stop.

Ciao, no we do not sell wine, we are an independent wine school. But after the tasting we’ll gladly tell you the best wine stores in town.

Hi! Interested in booking for an October date once the calendar opens up. If we book for cheese and wine, does Vino Roma serve a full dinner also? We're trying to determine if we need to plan to go to dinner before Vino Roma.

Ciao, the wine & cheese dinner is not a full meal in the sense that there are no hot dishes, pasta, etc; just the things described on the website. But the amounts are more than sufficient and most guests would not be able to go to and enjoy a Roman dinner after that!

Ciao! Under 12 are not admitted, 12-16 can be present under certain conditions but can’t join the tasting. More detailed info re: age limits on the website.

Ciao! We do not offer wine tours but wine tastings at the VinoRoma wine studio. There will be a different tasting every day you mention, you can see details and book on our website.

no, July is not booked - there are no events yet! If you look at the month prior you'll see the difference in how the calendar looks between when there are events and when no. We are working on July schedule and will be posting the rest of the summer soon! Ciao Kimberley and Mike, we offer different tastings on different days and they have costs varying between €50-60 per person. On November 10th there is no availability anymore unfortunately, but there is sone availability on dates around it. You will see the schedule, availability, more info on tastings etc all on the website, please have a look!
Is there a train or bus from the town center to your wine tasting

Ciao Lizeth, we ARE in the town center, in Rione 1, right between the main train station and the Colosseum. If you write me the address you would be originating from in an email, I can give you precise directions. In general, most guests come to us on foot, but the Cavour metro station on Line B and the Vittorio Emanuele metro station on Line A are very close to the VinoRoma wine studio and several buses, too.
