We were fortunate to have Daria as our guide. She was knowledgeable but even better, it was clear that she loved and was very proud of her city. She took us for coffee-the best we’ve had, gave us restaurant tips, and it was a pleasure to view Rome this way. Daria also took photos for us, several at each site so we were guaranteed to have a good photo of the two of us when we get home.

The special Bernini Exhibit at the Borghese Gallery would not have been as meaningful and extraordinary if we did not have a wonderful guide--Valeria. Her in-depth knowledge, analysis of details, and commentary and insights contributed to our understanding and appreciation of the genius of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. History, mythology, art, and culture all came together as Valeria guided us through this remarkable exhibit. She is amazing!

Nous avons effectué une très belle visite guidée du Vatican - instructive, variée, dense, pleine d'humour, accessible sans être simpliste.
Un seul petit regret : la piètre qualité du système écouteurs/micro du Vatican qui nous a fait louper quelques commentaires - on devrait équiper les guides, surtout de la qualité de Sophie, d'un micro serre-tête, pour que nous n'en perdions aucune bribe

Valeria is an incredible guide with not only unsurpassed knowledge, but with incredible heart and passion for her city. My teenagers were in awe of her stories and she captured our interest in every site we toured. She is fun and interesting and we would absolutely look her up again next time we visit Rome.

Excellent tour by our informative guide, Valeria!
We were recommended by our friends to try "Secrets of Rome" after they enjoyed their services. Our guide, Valeria, has great passion about the history and culture of Rome and she communicated that happy enthusiasm to us easily. We learned many intriguing facts on our Vatican tour. There are many other tours available in other neighborhoods in Rome. We will be sure to try other tours when we return to Rome!

My best friend flew in from the states and he wanted to go to Rome. My brother-in-law recommended Secrets of Rome tour service. I wanted to male sure my friend had an amazing experience so I hired the service. It was incredible. We had a blast and learned a lot about ancient and modern Rome. We were able to skip the lines at every attraction and she treated us to some fantastic local cuisine. We saw all the major sights and had a private tour of the Vatican. It was awesome. If you want to get all you can get out of your visit to Rome then I highly recommend Secrets of Rome. You won't regret it.

My wife and I took this tour last month. Our guide, Valeria, was great. An archeologist, Valeria was able to explain many details that we would not otherwise have understood. In addition to informing us, Valeria was a real "live wire" personality, which enhanced the experience still further.
While the tour covered the Colosseum in depth, it also traversed so much more! For the non-expert it would be absurd to think one could see so much and learn so much wandering round on one's own. Having an expert explain to us what we were looking at, as well as giving us the historical back-story, was absolutely essential. This tour was excellent in that regard and we thoroughly recommend it to others.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos sorties avec Sophie qui sait intéresser autant les adolescents que les enfants sans bêtifier.
Nous avons également fait ensemble des sorties non typées "enfant", sans problème.
En plus, elle connait les heures creuses, ce qui permet de faire ces visites sans stress :-)

If you ever visit Rome and you need a very good guide, contact Valeria Pugiotto (Secrets of Rome)! I know Rome ratter well and I know a lot about ancient Rome. In April 2011 I went to Rome with my wife and parents. My father did the travel mostly in his wheelchair. We also wanted to see the Vatican. That’s not within my knowledge. So I contacted Varelia. Valeria does not only know everything about Rome and Vatican City but she also takes a lot of care of her group members. She did everything to help my father! And she is also funny and a nice person to be with. So I recommend her with pleasure.
