We had recently purchased a platinum crystal tumbler in October. Unfortunately it broke while washing it. In the demonstration remember how they knocked the crystal vase on the counter......well we obviously underestimated it's delicate nature. So we contacted the company and they actually sent us a replacement! Yes it was reminded to us that it is glass and glass breaks however they made an exception and we could not be more thrilled. They even monogrammed it like the first one.

Visited this place after reading the recommendation from Rick Steve's book. In fact to enter we had to mention Rick Steve's book (and you get 20% off), they initially said that you need a reservation.
Google maps may not show that this place is located behind the stores facing St. Marks square (need to go behind using a tiny alley).
You are guided inside and given a very short but amazing demonstration of glass making.
They you are taken to the glass room and given a sales pitch to buy. We didn't buy from the sales pitch but wandered the gallery by ourselves and bought stuff ourselves.
The items here are not cheap at all - ranging from 20 euros to 20,000 euros. But they are amazing - some of the most beautiful pieces of Venetian Murano glass art made by the masters in their factory at Murano. Most people after the sales pitch bought (or did not) buy one or two small items that were shown and headed out. I suggest walking through the gallery and viewing some the art pieces. There are some great pieces there - and plenty of variety (not too much variety in the tiny glass trinkets as a gift, but there are some). The place also has good restrooms.
The sales pitch was not pushy, and after the crowd was gone, the manager was very helpful and showed us around and helped us with making the decisions on what to buy.

I visited the Galleria San Marco as part of a Northern Italy tour. Unfortunately the visit was a bit rushed due to us arriving late (another story...). The glass blowing demonstration was good if a little short. The salesman telling us about the glasses and decanters was interesting if a little long. And the service was great once I asked after a particular piece. We settled on a price and they arranged to have it shipped home to me. When I went back a couple of hours later to purchase some glasses they were very obliging and even had the glasses etched with a personal message. They then packaged the glasses for me to take away. The first piece arrived in perfect condition with so much packing I'm not sure what to do with it all.

What a delight to wander into this glass factory as 5 tourists from Australia - unscheduled and not part of a tour group they happily showed us around, gave us a free glass-blowing demonstration and explained the process of making the beautiful different coloured glass. Wonderful to see people who take such great pride in their work. At the end of us browsing through the amazing gallery they gave each of our children a small free sample of their glass. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to experience authentic Venetian glass-blowing.

It took the glass blower no time at all to create a beautiful glass vase. Sadly, when he was done he deposited it back into the fire.
The store is filled with incredible glass pieces. We ended up buying a set of glasses that we'll cherish for a lifetime. Almost no one escapes this place without buying something. It's a great way to bring a piece of Venice home with you.

The glass is absolutely gorgeous, and we happily bought a set of glasses to remind us forever of our trip to Venice. The staff was very friendly. But if you really don't want to spend a few hundred dollars on a handmade keepsake, you might want to stay away!
Here's how it works: they offer free glassblowing demonstrations to get you into the shop. The demonstrations are really neat and informative, especially for the children. Then they offer the kids a free gift. We were the only people in the place on a weekday in early April this year, so they gave each of my kids a beautiful glass lion. This blew the kids away, and made us so grateful that we were way more disposed to buy once they walked us through the store itself. It's a brilliant little scheme, really, one they have no doubt honed with many thousands of tourists.
To be clear, I don't regret a thing. I saw what was going on while it was happening, but there's no doubt I was more ready to part with my money than I would otherwise have been. Just beware: the free demonstration might not end up being free!

The display is over so quick and then you are into the sell sell part. Buyers beware when they offer to ship the purchases home, you may end up with a large customs bill like i did which negated the discount they offered. But the quality of the glassware is truly amazing and i don't regret my once in a lifetime purchase.

Watch a glass blowing demonstration by a master, he made it look effortless and once he had created something fantastic he dropped it straight back into the fire! Good sales pitch by the main presenter showing lots of different sets and their robustness (would if he ever breaks any). Lots of fancy items in the shop, can be shipped all over the world with a 100% guarantee or full replacement if any accident happens

galleria San Marco様に質問です。
２０１５年２月１５日、１１時１７分に、クレジットカードでグラスを購入したのですが、箱に包まれており、日本に帰って開けてみたら、購入したものとは異なる色の商品が入っておりました。
値段が異なってしまうので、是非交換してもらいたいです。可能でしょうか。
また、手数料などはかかりますでしょうか。

I was there for the exhibition before the time to go to eat, it is a good idea to go in the afternoon but not too late, most of the places in Venice close a bit early, specially shops. Not be sure the time for their opening but I believe I read somewhere in the store they close around 5 o´clock. For demostration I do not know, we got it as a part of the travel since we went as a group of 30 people...The most probably thing is that you have to make a equest or ask personally when they have their exhibitions.
