We had a lovely holiday on the Marella Explorer. The staff were so helpful & could not do enough for you, I left my glasses on the plane & reception bent over backwards to try to find them for me. Anjo our cabin steward was very good & made animals out of towels for our entertainment, in the evenings our room was tidied & fresh towels were provided this was after our room was done during the day, he & his team were organised. The cabin was specious enough with plenty of cupboards & draws & it was nice having a window. There was plenty of restaurants to choose from but the Market Place was very good with plenty of choice every day. Enjoyed the musicals in the theatre as they were well performed.

We had a lovely time on the actual cruise in May but having been back for nigh on 5 months we have just received an email from Marella stating that the card we had paid our account on had not had the money taken out due to an error on their part! They have stayed that on 28th Sept they will approach our bank for the money!!!
They also say to make sure there is enough money in the account to pay the bill .. around £200!!!
They also say that there is no discussion on alternative payments I e staged payments etc... just that they will take it from our account on the 28th Sept!
I am disgusted by this as you can imagine as I had believed the bill was taken care of in May/June as our statement of account from the ship stated!!
I now have to find £200 this far along in the year when I have other commitments!!!
We have been a good customer of Tui/Marrella Cruises for a long time but due to the administration and attitude of this company from now on I will only look at cruises from other companies!!
We are so disappointed and urge other customers of Tui /Marbella to check check and check again when they tell you something... because five months later they may come along and say something different!
A very dissatisfied and upset customer!!!!

Dopo aver chiesto in albergo di controllare gli orari di apertura domenicale ci siamo recati presso il museo trovandolo chiuso. A quel punto presso l'ufficio del turismo poco distante abbiamo chiesto chiarimenti e l'incaricato ha chiamato il museo che si e' giustificato a causa di un allestimento in corso ma che eccezionalmente avrebbe aperto dopo circa due ore per consentirci un passaggio, visto che saremmo ripartite il giorno dopo. Siamo ritornate e nessuno ha aperto. Con rammarico ho scritto al museo ed ho informato anche l'ufficio del turismo, ricevendo risposta da entrambi. In ogni caso una pagina poco edificante. Peccato

In uno spazio poco pubblicizzato ho trovato un angolo dove si testimonia l'amore per questa terra: una stilista che senza contributi di alcun genere ha voluto restaurare alcuni spazi in maniera corretta e dove viene esposta l'anima della Sicilia. Fuori ho lasciato la visita al superbo monastero dei Benedettini, all'incantevole Palazzo Biscari e al magnifico Castello Ursino, qui dentro ho trovato la ricerca per le cose che sanno di Sicilia, scoperte con l'amore e il gusto di chi ancora vuole credere in questa terra ..... malgrado tutto. Da visitare con animo curioso.

Trovo assurdo pagare un biglietto d'ingresso per non aver visto quasi nulla. Non è rimasto niente del vecchio Museo Biscari perché non è stato fatto alcunché di restauro conservativo: alle mie lamentele mi è stato fatto notare che avrei potuto capire come fosse in origine il museo dalle due uniche foto presenti in biglietteria. A causa di una prova abiti nella seconda ala, ci hanno fatto visitare solo la prima stanza dove erano esposti solo qualche vestito della stilista e una mostra di uova di struzzo dipinte da artisti e personaggi dello spettacolo da me e dal resto dei visitatori per niente apprezzata. Signorine perennemente e insistentemente presenti a controllare che non toccassimo o fotografassimo nulla, neanche se fossimo stati dei bambini piccoli. Costo del biglietto 3 €, spiegazione inesistente. Ne sconsiglio vivamente la visita.
