What a lovely exhibition. I could have happily spent all day here,absorbing the atmosphere of the place/exhibition. Well set out. Lovely surroundings. Could you put a sign on both sides of the entrance, as we went past it,+only saw the sign on the way back.

The New Coracle Shed is a brilliant museum a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of Ironbridge. It’s a great slice of social and oral histories of Ironbridge, noting the importance of coracles for the working class inhabitants of the area. We had a great tour by Graham and one of the volunteers.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Ironbridge past and present

Cracking little museum, with pictures, artifacts and interactive history of the coracle men and original "old shed" from past times. Well thought out, and it's FREE to visit. Incorporate a visit whilst popping to the on-site cafe for a coffee or snack. Well worth a visit when strolling around the Ironbridge area. It's in a lovely setting too.

The Coracle Shed is a great little find & a lovely little walk off the beaten track.
Although not too far from ironbridge & the original shed.
Not only does this shed house content from the shed of the last coracle man to work on the river it has captured lots of stories about working class history in this area, told through stories, photos, quotes,,recordings.
It’s free
There are activities such as have a go making coracles (find out when they do this)
There’s a great little cafe next door plus toilet.
Definitely put this on your list of things to do in this area.

A great little hut of history about all things coracle. Very interactive and suitable for all ages. And next to a fab café, too.

This is a new museum for 2020 and is situated right next to the Greenwood centre. It gives a good account of what life was like for the coracle makers and users who lived on the edge of society in Ironbridge during the industrial era. Its imaginatively laid out wit a few short films shown in replicas of old TV sets. It won't take long to go round, but combined with lunch at the cafe next door, is well worth an outing.
