Excellent exposure of the environments visited with historical notes of valuable contents. Delicious children with their stories have embellished the visit of all participants. Great enthusiasm and participation in the event.

Beautiful experience a suggestive place to visit so many monuments then we had a taste of the beer that the monks made master brewer very good prepared staff and welcoming experience to repeat

We stayed here yesterday, we had lunch, all very good, there was a person with celiac disease and they made lunch for her as well, very good from the appetizer to the fruit. The monks of the convent friendly and cute. After we did the guided tour with Mr. Igor, beautiful experience, exhaustive stories and with some touches of irony that made the visit even more enjoyable. And also fantastic little Emanuele and Sibilla! Recommended!

Wonderful place,

Beautiful guided tour organized inside this huge abbey led by a talented Igor who with various details and historical anecdotes has embellished the tour.
Pleasant also the proposed tasting, delicious beers that we bought at the shop.

Experience certainly very particular and original, lunch inside a monastic refectory is not so obvious. During lunch you feel a sense of peace. The abbey is a little neglected, too bad! At least once it's worth going....

Wonderful Benedictine abbey that an ancient tradition says was founded by Gregory the Great (540 - 604). It is 22,000 sq m building plus seven cloisters. Currently there are 10 monks who have opened their Abbey to visitors with guesthouse service, sale of their products and their excellent beer, Benedictine Hora, spiritual exercises, concerts, cultural meetings, guided tours and much more. On some Sundays of the month it is possible, after the interesting 11 am visit led by Igor Gelarda, a competent and brilliant Guide, to stop for lunch with the monks, in their refectory. The meal is prepared by the monk cook who, along with two confreres, participates in a cooking show on the Food Network. Simple dishes, in the style of the convent, but good and genuine, with many people from far away, sitting at the same tables, in such an exceptional place, in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. The visit costs 11 euros and the proceeds support the numerous costs of restoration and maintenance of the building; lunch costs 20 euros. Experience highly recommended.
