DO NOT GO THERE: IT'S A ZOO.
I would never give money to a zoo. I was attracted to the idea that it was a re-entry centre into the wild. But NONE of the animals you see will be reintroduced. A staff member told me!
Many in isolation, are dying of boredom walking back and forth in a few while, like the fox and the cheetah. But they're all sad, and you see it.
I'll delete the photos, I don't want to see those images again. If you want true nature go to the forest: it is the one to be saved, instead of continuing to make it pasture as they are doing. ZOOS MUST CLOSE, don't be fooled by the beautiful terminology "eco", if this is save.. no comment.
Do not take your children to see these things, take them into nature, the true one (which is not missing here) and it will show who will want to show themselves.

The park staff are very friendly, they have the option to pay for tickets and extra activities by card. We did the activity of feeding the manatees and one positive thing is that they do not force them but wait for them to approach, as with the macaws, if they are stressed they suspend the interactions. The trails are well maintained and also have many animals (reptiles, birds, mammals) and information about plants. Inside the park there are bathrooms and also a small cafeteria. We loved it, we would definitely come back!

This animal sanctuary was one of the highlights of my trip to Mexico. It was an incredible experience. Operating with minimal support, the staff here look after injured, trafficked, and unwanted wildlife - all animals. They treat and rewild animals where possible and treat each one with knowledgeable and loving care.
My tour with Solomon restored my faith in humanity - our innate ability to treat all creatures with whom we share this world with respect and kindness.
I urge all animal lovers to visit and support this centre.

Nice space between the jungle with a wide variety of animals and plants. Second time we go and optional activities are very good. Very affordable price.

The place is amazing, the animals look in very good condition and you can see that they are taken care of a lot, when they arrive they just show you a map and tell you to take a picture if you want and the signs are not so clear...
We came from the hotel waiting for our agency to pick us up and we brought suitcases when we arrived at the reception desk told us to only pass with them , but they are heavy and it was horrible heat , they do not have any parcel area and it is illogical that if there are protected and free species one can enter as if nothing with suitcases , they sent me to find the manager to let me leave my bags and the manager on duty sent me with the receptionist I found it very frustrating that they did not have more friendly and efficient service protocols we had only one hour free and spent 20 minutes trying to solve that , we also tried to do the night tour but we never answered the phone to make reservations, we recommend to bring comfortable clothes why you have to walk quite a lot in the area and also carry water

Loved it! It is a small and beautiful animal sanctuary in the jungle. They rehome mistreated animals to a better life, and return them to the wild where possible.
We spent about two hours slowly walking around the enclosures and grounds, and could have spent longer.
Make sure to wear repellent as there are mosquitoes. There was a lot of shade, but it was very hot as we were there in 35 degrees.
It is an easy $50 taxi ride from Palenque, and we hailed a taxi no problem on the way home. It's on the same road as the ruins so many taxis pass looking for passengers.

Aluxes is a wonderful place to visitg. We took the night tour which cost us $400 but it was worth it because the money is used for the rehabilitation of animals and to return those animals that were illegally purchased to their natural habitat.
We were all given the opportunity to feed the manatees and crocodiles.
It is a unique experience that I highly recommend.

A different zoo with the objective of really helping the animals. One of the better experiences here at Palenque. Totally recomended.

Hola, buenas tardes tengo intención de visitarlos con una persona en silla de ruedas, que tan factible es realizar la visita, cuentan con rampas especiales o en su caso es accesible al camino en silla de ruedas, espero su pronta respuesta, buenas noches y gracias

Hola amigo,es una experiencia muy bonita sobre todo si les gusta lo natural, ademas de tener animales que están cuidados con gran interés y responsabilidad, los andadores son amplios y es 100% caminar, el traslado con silla de ruedas es factible sin embargo por cuestión de seguridad te sugiero que te comuniques al lugar y pidas la información que necesites para que estén tranquilos y recuerda que las visitas son por cita programada... a disfrutar :)

El horario es a las 7pm es necesario que llegues 10 min antes.
Debes de ir con pantalones largos ,playera manga larga, repelente de moscos y tenis .
Y si hay que reservar aunque sea por teléfono.

I think the tours start at 5 or 6 pm. You do need to make a reservation for them, and they won't do the tour for under 6 people usually. To make a reservation, call them or stop by during regular hours. We made ours for the same day without a problem. I think the tour was under $15 a person and it was fantastic - you get to feed the manatees and crocodiles as part of the tour, something that costs extra during the day. Our tour guide only spoke Spanish but I think you can get an English tour guide if you ask (we speak Spanish). Definitely do it if you get a chance.

Voy a ir con dos personas más nuestra llegada a Palenque sería como a las 2 pm nos recomiendan que lleguemos a Esa hora o hagamos el recorrido de noche y que costo tiene por la tres persona que seremos mucha gracias

Preferentemente de día, el mes pasado que fui el costo por adulto era de 100 y niños 80. el recorrido mas o menos 1:30 a 2 horas dependiendo de la velocidad de la cominada o los tiempos que se tomen para detenerse. Y como dicen repelente extremadamente muy importante y bloqueador!!!.

Hola que tal, estoy plsneando vsitar palenque con 3 amigos mas en los proximos meses y me llamo mucho la atencion las atracciones que presentan sobre todo por que estamos muy interesados en la naturaleza y la cultura e historia, quisiera saber si al adquirir el paquete VIP se hace el recorrido normal mas el recorrido "backstage" o como seria? que duracion tiene? podriamos nosotros agendar un horario que se adapte un poco a nuestros tiempos de recorrido? quiza llegar eso de las 3 o 4 pm ?

Durante el recorrido podrán darle de comer a nuestros cuatro alegres Manatís.·

Usted podrá tener en sus manos a cualquiera de estos encantadores ejemplares y llevarse fotos inolvidables.
· Visita a torre de avistamiento.
Usted visitará nuestra torre de avistamiento de 22 metros, actualmente cerrada al publico, donde podrá tener una vista espectacular de los alrededores de Aluxes, quizás coincida con el vuelo de algunas Guacamayas que estén sobrevolando esta área y podrá tomar fotos impactantes.
El tiempo de visita es de aproximadamente 4 hrs. Es importante reservar con al menos dos días de anticipación a la fecha del tour. El costo es de $5,200 pesos de 1 a 8 personas mas $650 pesos por persona adicional (niños y adultos). La reservación se debe hacer al menos un dia antes del tour con el pago correspondiente en taquilla o por transferencia bancaria.

Hola! Pienso ir mañana al parque pero mi duda es si puedo usar una carreola doble para mis hijos pues son pequeños, no sé si me sea útil llevarla o que me vaya a estorbar más de lo que me pueda ayudar.
