Definitely recommend this and particularly Wetland Cruises, very peaceful and serene and just lovely floathing on the water seeing wildlife. Terrifice guides with an abundance of knowledge.

It was possibly the best cruise ever . The cruise did not include idiotic practices such as making crocodile jump. The tour guide demonstrated a good understanding of the local environment and was able to explain it to travellers in easy to understand language.
We felt that the tour operator has a lot of respect for the environment and is proud to be able to share it with tourists and travellers.
If you do one thing in the Territory, make sure to take a short cruise with Corroboree Billabong.
Please do NOT SUPPORT JUMPING CROCODILE CRUELTY!

We did a one hour version of this cruise at the star of a 5 day Kakadu tour and it was a great start to the tour with sightings of crocodiles and an impressive range of birds in a wetland environment. We saw, amongst others, jacans, jabirus, sea eagles, and egrets.

Limited bird and animal sightings but still enjoyable-Dani great guide and kept the day enjoyable even when we couldn’t find a croc. Fantastic lunch. Enjoyed ourselves heaps. Thanks

We had an excellent sunset cruise with Alan at Corrobaree Billabong seeing crocodiles, beautiful birds and many different types of flora. Alan was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour and always had our safety in mind. The sunset was gorgeous setting through the trees on the sides of the billabong and a beautiful end to the cruise.

Thanks so much for that highly recommended review. The Sunset Cruise is beatiful and the bonus is seeing everything the Wetlands has to offer. Allen has great sense of humor & knowledge, he loves to share his backyard with you all. Hope to see you again sometime.

Wonderful natural experience comparing the city dwelling life for us, plus well seasoned tour guide Evan, who is full of knowledge about the birds/animals/plants around the billabong, with great sense of humour. Well done!

Thank you for great review. The 1 day Tour from Darwin is a great way to get out and about and learn about the environment and flora and fauna. Evan is the guy to tell you all about it. We are so happy you got to enjoy it.

We loved the sunset cruise. Saw multiple crocs, heaps of birds and a stunning sunset! Our tour guide was very knowledge and gave us plenty of opportunity to take photos. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour. Very friendly, funny and knowledgeable tour guide. We saw crocodiles and birds, and the lunch provided was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a wonderful experience yesterday on the Corroboree Billabong with Wetland Cruises. Evan our tour guide was a great source of knowledge and information, I think he swallowed a history book!! But in all seriousness he was full of wit and charm and made the experience ever so joyful. The billabong is a brimming array of wildlife and we even saw our fair share of crocodiles which are harder too see this time of year. Highly recommend this tour it’s a must when you’re in Darwin.

And as you said it is harder to see crocodiles at this time of year but you were lucky enough to see a bit of everything out on the beautiful Wetlands. The Day Tour from Darwin is a must do and with the witty & knowledgable Evan to guide you- your in for a great day.Thanks again 👍

Excellent! Even mid morning we saw so many birds and even 3 crocs (salty & a freshy)
Alan was friendly and knowledgeable. Just enough NT banter & BS to make it a Top End experience worth doing.

Looking at what options are available for cruises if we drive to site ourselves? Also, is road to cruise departure point sealed or partial dirt....if dirt can a standard SUV handle it?
Planning trip to Australia Oct/Nov 2016....in Darwin area around 3rd week of Oct.

Thanks for your enquiry. Yes, you can drive to the billabong and pick up a cruise. However, if you do not already have a reservation, you risk the probability that the boat will already be fully booked and you will not be able to take a cruise.
