Orange Markets was on today & called a taxi as my friend & I went to the markets.
We both had a great time stopping at various stalls, especially the Aussie Brown Dog stall.
At the Aussie Brown Dog stall they sold dog coats of all types & sizes then small & large bags for travelling. The large one is great for 3-4 day week away & the smaller bag can have an ice pack for some beers, water with some snacks on top. Excellent service & glad to make the purchase.

Beautiful Victorian classical Park, 150 years old and full of exotic species. Great for a picnic lunch or just wander around the rotunda, duck ponds, Rose garden or hot house.

This park was lovely for a stroll after breakfast. Friends and I were more impressed with this garden than the Botanical Gardens. Very cute.

Having been born in Orange this park holds beautiful memories of regular visits.
I was shocked to see the lack of interest the current city council in its presentation and
Plantings.
There were few beds planted with colourful blooms and many signs of neglect throughout the park.
Most appalling was the begonia house that was filled with lots of common garden plants which were all dead from lack of water. Who grows carnations, geraniums, and assorted outdoor plants in a glass house.
The steady stream of tourist that we’re entering were as disappointed as my group were.
The duck pond looked sparse and unloved and had 3 ducks …….far cry from the abundance that lived there in the past and brought joy to the many young families who visited.

I visited this park during winter when I'm certain it is not at its best. However, it is still a stunning place to go for a walk (and my pooch loved it too!) I particularly loved the green house/conservatory that was brimming with colourful begonias, the fernery and the sunken rose garden. Also loved the autumn leaves all over the grass. Will visit again and again

This is quite a beautiful park with just about everything you could possibly expect to be in a park actually being there.
Apart from the fantastic range of trees (elms, cedars, pines etc), shrubs, plants and flowers there is a bandstand, a duck pond/lake with its very own "Nessie" and a bridge over it, some fountains, an aviary, a fernery, some WWII artillery pieces, a children's playground and what we considered to be the piece de resistance, the conservatory filled with the most beautiful display of Begonias. Fabulous and well worth a look.

Loved our walk through the park its a real botanic delight. The Bergonia display was amazing some as big as your hand. The Craft shop filled with locally made goods including wood work and knitting, quilts and sweet delights.
