Despite a severe drought, the course remains infinitely playable and tees and greens as well as surrounds are well maintained. A Challenging true links experience that is well worth the visit.

We had a great days golfing here.
The course is varied and has fabulous views of the Bay Area.
The best thing for my husband was it’s location literally next door to the airport. Great fun watching the planes coming and going.
It didn’t put us off our game though as we both had a great round. Some blind shots and some elevated greens and tees made it a most interesting course. Good facilities on the course too.

This is a true links golf course. It has some very interesting and challenging holes with quite a few bunkers. The greens were in good condition and it was right on the edge of the Ocean so the surrounding views were stunning. We picked a particularly windy day to play it but we still thoroughly enjoyed playing the course. It was very interesting to see the planes flying very low over head to land at the airport just next door. We will definitely go back and play it again when we are next in the area

I confess that my wife and I have been coming to the Nelson area for over a decade and have become seasonal members of this great club. The layout includes several very creative holes that require innovative shot-making. The greens are in top shelf condition and the many pot bunkers with revetted walls will test your skill. Add to this the fact that the Ocean borders many holes and is visible from nearly all of them and you have a terrific opportunity to enjoy a true "links" experience at VERY reasonable green fees.

Used to be a highly rated course, but is struggling due to lack of water and fairways have suffered as a result, with a lot of bare and poor lies taking away from the enjoyment. Greens have survived well and are great. Airport nearby with planes taking off is a unique feature.
Pro shop is good and clubhouse quite good. Hopefully rain may get some growth back into fairways
