Beautiful place, calm and relaxing. Atilla was very helpful and welcoming. Would recommend! It was decorated in a modern and relaxing way. There wasn't many people which was nice. We went on a Tuesday at 10 am. The showers aren't great, it's one button and one was broken and the other was freezing so it left 2 working showers.

Bad experience because of the staff. Such a shame as the place itself is beautiful.
We were a group of 9 on day 3 in Budapest, so we were tired and looking for a chill day. We hadn't pre booked (as we'd emailed and they advised that we wouldn't need to book) but we couldn't get in. So we waited 2 hours to get in. On the way in, it was very nice e and polite. However, about 1.5 hours into the spa my friend was approached by the manager who said that a couple had made a complaint about us and left. 3 of us were asleep at the time! The others were just sitting. It made us feel uncomfortable, so we decided to leave soon after. I asked the Manager who complained and why she decided to 'tell us off' without knowing the truth. She said that she was just following up on their policy. I asked was the policy to take people's word for it if they say things that are untrue? After much to-ing and fro-ing, the manager asked what she wants us to do about it. I asked that she ought to check before spoiling our day that we paid a lot of money for! Then, her colleague on reception said that she had heard us be noisy when we first walked in. We asked what she meant by that, she said we laughed when we first walked into the spa! Wow.
We were not together as a group the whole time after. Strange times when the staff actually spoil the experience, because they are being snobbish.
We laughed once. But they were find that there were sexually active couples all over each other in the pools!
If I owed the place, I'd be reviewing my team, as they are rude and have no idea about customer service.
I don't believe that anybody complained about us at all, I think the receptionist with the blue eye shadow just doesn't like people!

Clean, quiet and peaceful place. Spa with several baths, bar inside, possibility of massages, sauna, steam room... The staff is very welcoming, the setting is sublime, a must to do in Budapest!!

The place is nice and cozy. The staff is also ok but due to an electric breakdown (they said), nothing was working properly. The pools, sauna, steam bath, sitting area- everyplace was simply too cold. I told them this immediately after we arrived because we were literally freezing. They said it would get better. We talked back and forth and after 2 hours ( even if we had bought a 4 hour spa ticket) we decided to claim our money back and leave. Nothing was working properly even at this point. The manager claimed that everything was fine and gave us 25% back and asked us to do a nice review. It was such a shame and an overall bad experience and waste of time and money. They should have given us a full refund. Just go somewhere else.

I sent an email requesting an appointment at Mandala and was told that no appointment was necessary and that I was welcome to use the spa. I traveled all the way across Budapest hoping for a pleasant day at the spa and when I arrived I was told that the establishment was fully booked. I tried to explain the situation and still did not receive a solution. Totally disappointed with Mandala!

We wanted to spend a Friday morning at the spa. Knowing it's a popular place, a week before, I emailed to ask if booking was necessary, to which they replied it wasn't, and in fact, it wasn't even possible. When we arrived, they informed us that unfortunately, we couldn't enter because they had too many reservations. So, apparently, booking was possible/necessary after all... We felt really bad because we're not even from Budapest; we traveled here completely unnecessarily. They admitted that they had communicated poorly, but they just shrugged their shoulders, completely lacking any willingness to find a solution or show hospitality. We certainly won’t be going back — if this kind of rudeness greets you at the front desk, what kind of hospitality can you expect once you step inside? Fortunately, there are still many great spas in Budapest, most of which have friendly staff as well...

Beautiful experience. Massage and SPA combination highly recommended. I thank the masseuse for an excellent performance and professionalism. I almost think I fell in love... anyway... great atmosphere and quality of service.

Aesthetically the spa was good. We booked the greater package through getyourguide.com involving the lunch, champagne, use of the massage chair and the peel.
I had contacted the spa directly to arrange treatments and was having an email conversation booking a couples treatment in which i was to confirm a time on the date of our arrival, however the last email was never acknowledged and the couples booking never went ahead. The receptionist when we arrived appeared unapologetic about this with a shoulder shrug as there were no treatments left as if it was my fault.
While still at the desk we pre ordered dry champagne and a sushi lunch and were told to collect this, the peel and robes from the bar.
We were asked to leave an item as a security deposit at the desk. We weren't made aware of this previously and had to leave my hat and sunglasses as my partner didn't have anything.
We spent a bit of time in the spa then requested our lunch which took an hour to arrive. The champagne (despite requesting dry) tasted very sweet.
The steam room wasn't very steamy but the rest of the place appeared to be working well and clean. The shower area had puddles. The towels were quite thin and when used throughout the visit they were damp very quickly. It would have been nice to get offered another towel for before the shower.
When we were leaving I got my hat and sunglasses back, I mentioned about the peel we werent given thinking we could take it home but we weren't allowed that either

Szervezetlen, telefonos egyeztetés barátságtalan, emailre nem válaszolnak. Masszázs: fél órát kellett várni és sajnos 20 fokos szobában volt, megfáztam. Problémát nem kezelték.

We paid more for the massage chair.
Its dangerous as it seems the chairs are broken.It was pressing on one of my foot without control too hard it seems
It gave me a foot problem and pain even after 2 weeks ,i cant even walk properly i had to go to the doctor to take xrays im still suffering, it might be that it broke my bones.Im still waiting resultz from the doctor.
Avoid!

So sorry for the delay! But yes, very gay friendly for the couples treatments. I advised the manager upon booking that we were a same-sex couple and they said no problem. My fiancée and I had two female message therapists in a private room and they were exceptionally professional. Not much talking and they synchronized the massages almost perfectly so we were done at the same moment. We didn't experience any weirdness at all, and truthfully it was probably the best spa experience we've had as a couple anywhere yet. Mandala Spa sets a high bar!

All pricing is available on their web site which is easy to find on Google. They list their packages. Also a specific question sent by email to them is answered very quickly. Hope that helps.
