Bonjour à tous,
Je souhaiterais savoir comment êtes-vous allé à Tassili? Quelle agence? Quelle hôtel/ maison d'hôte? Pour avoir une expérience authentique au milieu du désert, que me conseillez-vous ?
I have been told that the plateau has been closed by the military for 3 years. Is this true? If so, can enough of the best ancient paintings be seen, now, to make the trip worth the expense and effort? The organizer in Djanet, one of the "usual suspects," says that 4WD tours are available. But I read that there is no way to get to the plateau, except by foot, donkey or camel...if the plateau is open at all. This is all very confusing, as many posts read as if the writer has never actually been there.
I don't care to go there just to see the desert and oases. I have seen the Sahara before, including many sandstone pinnacles. Also, I have encountered Tuareg in Mali, so that is of little interest. I have no interest in packaged tours; I will be traveling alone, pursuing my own interests.
All I care about are the paintings. What is available now?
Thank you for your input.
Did you manage to go see the paintings?! Am part Algerian and am going in March for a one month break and hoping to go see the paintings too so wonder if you have been or planing to go so we can arrange a journey... 続きを読む
